Having a lot of trouble remaining a paying fan...

You know, I am thinking that this is the inevitable conclusion for an organization founded on the principle of rewarding failure.

I dropped Direct T.V. after this b.s. started, but they made me an offer i couldn't refuse... free Sunday ticket, 3 months free movie channels and an upgrade on my basic channel package with a minimal increase in monthly fees, all without a contract.

I'll join the revolution just as soon as they stop giving me free stuff.

I dropped directv, and my local cable company (charter) locked me in for 150 month for cable (with everything), Internet and phone for 3 years. I'll flick the off games and man the grill and smoker. **** Roger and the 31.

what has better resolution, slingbox or online streams cuz they ain't getting a dime from me after this bs.

slingbox is full HD..............the NFL doesn't get a dime from you using it

the way it works is that it redirects the signal from your cable box to you via the internet......you can watch any channel you cable box produces

in san diego and cut my cable as soon as the superbowl was over and this bs started so i'm looking at online streaming. not sure of anything better.

look into it.......I used to travel to Asia and it's how I got my games live (granted I had to watch them in the wee hours) .... worked great

I have no basis for comparison though

I opted out of NFL game rewind renewal. One less drop in the NFL* bucket.

I'm all on board the "Roger Goodell and co. can F**k Off train" but I'll still buy the Sunday ticket. I'm in Vancouver and to see every Pats game I need the ticket. In my mind supporting Brady and the team outweighs knowing that my money is going towards the NFL head office as well. I want to see the Pats DESTROY the other teams and the look on Goodell's face when he has to hand Brady his 5th Super Bowl trophy. We will get the last laugh.

I live in Denmark and of course the Gamepass is the best option (although there are NFL games televised on cable TV at 07:00 pm and 10:30 pm local time but of course not always Pats are televised). But this year with the BS I am looking at other - not as legal - options as I would rather not support NFL NYC and this witchhunt.

There are always torrent bit apps but I strongly advise if you use them to have very good and updated anti-virus products installed. There are some good anti-virus programs that are free if you search for 'editor recommended' on national computer websites such as cnet, pcworld and such. Of course Micro$oft also has a free AV build in to Windows. Cheers from Sunny Denmark - home of Lego.

Won't be watching any non-Pats game this year. Won't be playing fantasy football either. As Pats fans I feel we need to send some sort of message to the NFL. As much as all the old people on this board hate twitter, a bunch of Pats fans tweeting at the NFL that you won't consume their product because of this BS will get their attention.

I will not ever buy any NFL gear again. But I cannot give up football! It is the best sport on the planet and even if I hate the league management, I will watch the game itself forever.

Hopefully somehow justice will prevail for the Pats, but justice seems to be a bought and paid for commodity in this day and age!

If you dont want to spend money in the corrupt NFL its ok, but dont let them win, thats what the league wants with this ******** scandal, better use free streams or wait 3-4 hours after the game ended and search it on torrent sites, its free, HD, no commercials (you see the games in 2 hours instead of almost 4).

Thanks, this thread reminded me that I needed to cancel my gamepass subscription.

Look how these guys are a bunch of SOBs, this is a part of an e-mail I received:

-------------------------------

"Your NFL GAMEPASS SEASON SUBSCRIPTION is set to auto renew on 1 August 2015 and at that time, your account will be billed USD 129.99 and your access to NFL action will begin. Want to watch now? You can purchase NFL GamePass today at NFL.com/gamepass and your access will begin immediately.

If you no longer wish to continue your access to NFL Game Pass, you can cancel your subscription in one of two ways:
1. Sign in to your account at NFL.com/gamepass.
• Click the "My Account" link at the top of the page
• Click "Update Billing Information"
• Uncheck the box that indicates you would like to be auto-renewed for the 2015 NFL Season

2. E-mail [email protected] (please include your NFL.com username)"

------------------------------------

First, I had a problem last year with this automatic renewal they set on my account without my authorization, got a surprise bill in the credit card I used the year before, and I wanted to use a different credit card, had a lot of headache to get a refund for only then subscribing again using the credit card I wanted. In this process I made it clear I didn't want auto renew anymore, If I want to subscribe the service, I'd go there and buy it when I wanted.

What happens this year? again they're trying to charge me without my consent. A lot of people might pay without notice, and then having problems to cancel the subscription.

But that's not the better part, I tried to follow the instructions to cancel the subscription and there is no "My account" link on that site, look it up in all possible ways, there is no way to log into my account, the fields with user name and password are probably hidden. Fortunately there was a chat available and the attendant canceled for me. No Gamepass this time, I'll watch some games ESPN broadcasts here (if I maintain my cable tv that is also something I've been considering) and the others I'll use internet streams like firstrow.eu
Just a heads up, but you can call your credit card company and have a block put on it. This would stop any attempt by them to auto renew. Just unblock when/if you want it again. That's what I did with satellite radio after they pulled that on me.

I haven't purchased any MFL gear in a few yrs. I only watch Pats games on the the major Networks when available (a few per season). I watch all remaining games on firstrow sports streaming. I've been doing that for about 4 or 5 yrs now . It can be a little frustrating sometimes with freezing up, but I keep several links up at a time and jockey back and forth as needed. It gets better every yr, as technology catches up. I, happily, have not spent a cent on the MFL. I was this close to not watching a game ever again. But these new revelations coming out make this look like TB may come out this on top. This is renewing my desire to watch TB tear them, and all of the other 31, a new one.
