Mike Florio: Goodell Underling(s) Were Out to Get the Patriots

I think Levy was paid off with his promotion. Hes quiet.

If what I heard today is true, Mike Kensil no longer has an office at 345 Park. Hes quiet

I really think Jaz and McNally have some golden handcuffs. They are quiet.

Something really stinks with this whole freaking thing.
Yeah, I'm talking about the Pats guys. That's what really shocks me… It's just so strange that nobody has gotten to them.

It is odd no question. Either they signed a confidentiality agreement (like Disney employees sign) once they started working for the Pats or are being promised a pot of gold for "cooperating"

Here you go. The ultimate logic here. The science is shaky (ie garbage-which means nothing unnatural happened to the balls), yet by the NFLs "common sense" lol, the text messages indicate something was done. Imagine that. Science proves nothing happened. Yet the text messages are being used to prove a crime that the science says didn't happen.

It really is beyond comprehension. Common sense would say that once the NFL admits that the science used to 'prove' that the balls were deflated was bad, the case would be closed.

But the NFL is so hellbent on nailing the Patriots that common sense went out the window a long time ago

Now they're looking for evidence that will prove the Patriots guilty of a crime that they admit probably never happened

Yeah but even if it's one of those things, where's the random reporter with a camera chasing them saying "did you deflate the footballs?" The whole country's talking about this!

I dunna know. McNally lives in Pelham NH so its not like he got put in WitProPro

Hell, maybe I'll go talk to the guy.

I've never met him but I have it on good authority (a friend who lives in Pelham) that hes a regular dude and when asked about this whole mess, doesn't want to talk about it.

Their has been many disparaging things said about McNally and Jastremski. IMHO they really don't deserve it. Imagine being a lifelong Patriots fan and get the opportunity to come to the stadium and help the team in some way and then get blasted by fellow Pats fans like they have?

So maybe I am in the minority here and that's fine...but IMHO they are not the enemy or the reason for these incredibly over the top fines and suspensions. Goodell and the other 31 are to blame.

I never have blamed them for anything. Don't know who would. They are being railroaded and I bet there is more going on behind the scenes than we know. I'd hope they are being "taken care of" by someone through the organization.

To be fair, some of their text exchanges are cringe-inducingly stupid.

Also to be fair... so are a lot of the text exchanges between my friends and I. I still think they were dumb to carry on like that on company phones, but oh well. What's done is done.

"They are being railroaded"....agreed. And as you mentioned ...I hope they are being taken care of as well.

They were two guys joking around. They may not be the sharpest knives in the drawer but I'd bet my house that they don't have a sinister bone in their bodies.

What does "being taken care of" mean? Killed? I assume you mean being paid off, which would be a colossal mistake on the Pats part.

I have no idea what kind of benefits that position gets during or after employment. Some are afforded benefits such are number of years at a company, 401k, whatever.

Oh, so you mean you hope they receive what any other employee of their status should receive?

While I have never used the term "dorito dink" - at least not until last month - let me assure you that my text messages with friends are equally juvenile. :D

However, like you say, it is unwise to do such a thing on company equipment. When it comes to my company computer, I assume everything I say, do and look at online will someday be seen by my boss, my clients, my clients' clients, as well as any government regulator that may come along.

It's really the only smart way to operate, and I'm always surprised to learn that others haven't taken that approach re: company equipment.

I think I'd like to be a lawyer representing the two ball attendants.
