If boycotting Patriot place includes turning in your season tickets, I agree. Otherwise, you're trying to have your cake and eat it too. The one thing that would really hurt him in the pocketbook would be if his franchise value were affected by his inability to put fannies in the seats. Everything else is just window dressing.
But let's face it. This franchise has too much success to lose money substantially. They'll find new fans to replace those.

I'm hoping that I couldn't have been so wrong about a guy for so long, so I'm going to wait before checking any one of those boxes.

I'm sure that went into Kraft's thinking on the subject.

Wasn't really talking about the trying to tear Kraft down side of it. Kraft will be a rich man either way. Do you not understand how wealthy this man is? You're foolish to think losing some season ticket holders will hurt him. From what I've seen outside of this board, many Pats fans are upset but this is the only place I've seen that wants to completely jump ship on the Patriots. So go ahead give up the season tickets.
New people will fill them in. Gladly.

I'm not saying I like it. But it's just the truth.

I understand Kraft's wealth. I just don't care about it. I care about the fact that he sold everyone out. You're welcome to use "Most other people won't do it", which is the flip side of "But everyone else did it, too", as an excuse for your decision. We all act to our own consciences, after all.

Umm, Brady will be suing the league, which means he will be suing Robert Kraft, and Robert Kraft just took his side. Don't be naive. Kraft threw Brady's legacy out the window because the other owners told him to.

If the Patriots start actively cooperating against the Brady appeal then I am with you. However, he did not take the league's side based on the PC. He begrudgingly accepted he had a snowball's chance in reversing the team punishment due to his agreement with the league.

Now consider the sides:
-The league's side is Brady is guilty and should be punished.
-Brady's side is I am not guilty and any punishment is BS.
-Kraft's mutli repeated 'no improper action here' with no mention whatsoever of the league being right about the part assigning guilt.
That is taking sides against Brady? If so ************ let's hope others in the league office take sides like that against Brady.

What a joke this is ! Kraft obviously cares more about Goddell then his own team, players and fans. . I am so tempted to stop watching and hopefully both Brady and BB either retire or go somewhere else. So disappointed right now...

I posted this in another thread

This is what I think may have happened.

1) Goodell does not want to fight the Pats or Brady in court. He let this get out of control and now he needs it to die down.
2) Kraft is pissed. He doesn't want to fight the NFL in court but may have to 'cause of the harshness of the penalties and having his greatest star under fire.
3) Goodell appoints himself arbitrator in the Brady case so he has something to go to Kraft with. He meets Kraft on the weekend. "Bob, I am arbitrator in the case. If you drop the team appeal/case then I will drop the Brady suspension. The NFL doesn't want to go to court and I'm sure you do not also. You get Brady's suspension dropped and we get the team penalties upheld. We both get to save some face."

Now for us as Pats fans, we want total absolution of any wrong doing, but Kraft as an owner does not want to be in court fighting the league. He doesn't have the demeanor of Al Davis, it's us against the world. He loves being a big cog in the NFL machine so in his mind taking a hit but getting the Brady's suspension dismissed is a better alternative then going against the league and taking it to court.

Now if he just gave up without any backroom dealing and making sure Brady's suspension is dismissed then he's a complete coward.

Your scenario has Kraft agreeing to have Brady's reputation forever tarnished. Why would he hate Brady that much?

Well, if he had negotiated anything out of this 'back channel' meeting, the rest of the league would've said that Kraft has special privileges with the commissioner.

That he's not appealing might indicate that he learned it would fail regardless.

If Goodell changes Brady's suspension people are just going to say he only did this because of a deal with Kraft. Goodell is owning the pats now and had never looked better. No chance Goodell shows any sign of weakness.

The only way Brady gets these games reduced is a ruling in court.

We'll see on that ... they still have a huge waiting list ... I doubt sellouts will cease.
Real fans will not abandon the team ... IMO ... hurt Kraft in other business ways ... hopefully.
There's only one way to hurt him financially and that's do something that would knock a few hundred million off the value of the Franchise. Otherwise, it's all just pissing in the wind.

Bob Kraft may be a great businessman, but he sure is a sucker for “the greater good” argument. Kraft would have fit right in in 1940s Germany. He would have been one of the Jewish leaders urging cooperation with Hitler while Heinrich Himmler was busy massacring Jews by the millions.

hahaha

If you're angry. Hurt him emotionally. Get a bunch of fans to stand outside Gillette and let him know how you feel.

Multiple sources have already said there's no deal involving Brady. And Beddard is connected to the NFL as well as anyone.

Of course they're gong to deny any quid pro quo, it's how these things work

I'm hoping that I couldn't have been so wrong about a guy for so long, so I'm going to wait before checking any one of those boxes.

My wife met the Krafts many times. He was a great fan in Smithfield. Always liked Bob & Myra.

He is DEAD TO ME (and my wife)

Real fans won't justify going to the games because they have no lives. Real fans wouldn't give Bob Kraft one more dime. Real fans would care enough to sacrifice to show that the injustice that was done to their team matters, not just "take it" to line the pockets of the NFL owners.

That's what a "real" fan would do.

I believe there most likely is a deal to lift the suspension. Why would the NFL want Brady and the NFLPA to take the Wells report to court? They know it is BS and it would be an embarrassment for the NFL.

Don't be surprised at all if there is an announcement that Brady's suspension will be lifted and there will be no justice for Brady.

This was my fear the second I heard Kraft was going to speak. We'll know soon enough, but at this point I will be surprised if Tom gets his day in court. Worst possible outcome.
