While there is one post i found awhile back that addressed the OVER-INFLATION of the Pats Balls in the Oct 16th home game against the Jets. Nothing has been said, that i can find, about how this helps to prove that the Pats did not deflate footballs.

Lets connect the DOTS, first we have the DEFLATOR text, (presumed by Wells to be talking about footballs) involving McNally and Jastremski on May 5th, 4 months before the season starts. The next time they discuss anything air pressure is Oct 16th or 17th just after the Jets game or the next morning.

The May 5th text is during early training camp. Why would they be even talking about deflating game balls in May there will be no real games until Sept 7th? No one seems to think this is odd. It is not only odd it stupid to attempt to connect this to anything more then what McNally said it was. Then of course we have all the so called swag texts, autographs, Kicks etc. While it is NFL and locker room culture based it is misinterpreted by Wells to suit his agenda.

Then we have the Jets game Oct. 16 with the Pats balls some of which were inflated to almost 16 psi.

While Wells attempts to imply that this deflation scheme is a long running scam from at least May 2014, this Jets game disproves that there is any scheme at all.

If there was a scheme in place based on the May 5 texts then why were the balls overinflated on Oct 16th by almost 4 Lbs????
In fact i believe that it was the next day that McNally texts that some were almost 16 Lbs!!!

If McNally does not know of any problem with the Air Pressure of the game balls until TB12 goes ballistic about them after the game. If McNally had been sneaking into the bathroom and letting air out the balls he would have seen the over inflation problem and corrected it. There was NO DEFLATION SCHEME the Jumbo Jets balls prove this. (see note below)

After the Jumbo Jets balls is when Brady wants McNally to show the rule book to the Refs and ask them to fill them to 12.5 Lbs.which would begin on the next home game which is Miami on Oct 29th.

(for a Ref to add 4 Lbs to a ball is far from an accident. If he had the hand pump that the home team, Pats, supplied, it would take several minutes, even if he had his own electric pump it would take at least a couple minutes per ball. No this was an act MALICE pure and simple)

This Wells report has more holes than the Warren Commission Report.

your argument is invalid simply on the basis of people are sick of the patriots winning for a decade and a half... at least i think thats the logic nationally.

I mean why bother the refs with psi ? When you have the "Deflator" !@!!!

In May they may have received new balls and he had to deflate them. I doubt he was practicing for the bathroom drill.

Jastremski also texted "I just measured some of the balls. They supposed to be 13 lbs" after the Jets game. If they were deflating balls, why would he have expected them to be 13? It makes no sense and contradicts the deflator comments. Wells just glossed over that.

I was about to ask the same question.... If the "deflator" is someone known to take air pressure out of balls, how did he DEFLATE a ball to 16 psi ??

If people want to say the deflator/ESPN text fully incriminates the pats, one can easily say the 13/16 text exonerates them. Only problem is wells only chose to draw conclusions towards the former and ignore the latter .

Keep in mind that the whole report is a sham. As soon as Kensil said we got you because he couldn't understand the ideal gas law, it has been am exercise to find facts to support the predetermined conclusion rather letting the facts determine a conclusion. Nothing is going to change the opinion of the general public since the capitulation in 2007. This is only to reassure the Pats supporter and lay the foundation for action against the NFL.

To quibble with one detail, I think the texts were from May 9th. That would have been day 2 of the 2014 draft. Either way, there would have been nothing happening on-field at Gillette for either of these guys at that time. No mini-camps, no OTAs, no rookie camps, nothing. Seems an odd time to be discussing deflating footballs.

This whole debacle has been a sham. It is the ultimate straw man argument. The more things get debunked, they cling to other harder to argue "counterpoints". They are pathetic. Arguments such as those in some media outlets can be made on a personal level. However, it is their job to be objective and ignore their own "gut" feelings and argue the facts. Most are unable to do so.

NOBODY'S EVENTHOUGHT OF THIS!!
