Think about how wide open the NFC is in this post-cap NFL. Without the patriots, how many various different teams would've won super bowls? Wide open competition only leads to more money for teams and the NFL when everyone believes they have a chance. They want the patriots to lose.

Or...BB can cement himself as the greatest coach by dealing w/ this distraction, winning w/ Jimmy, assembling a new secondary, and hoisting another lombardi.

The problem with this is if he wins with Jimmy these haters are going to use it to bash Brady 'a-ha see it was the system and not Brady'.

Why is that a problem for us? They are called haters for a reason. They seek excuses to belittle Tom Brady. Who cares about them?

one could make the same argument that if the NFL did not try to hamper the pats (point of emphasis on illegal contact and other things) that the pats would also have SB rings for
2006
2007
2011
2012
2013
(if the pats did not lose their 2008 1st rounder, and drafted say Matt Forte, we are talking about enough to change everything in 2011,2012, 2013)

I mean given the harshness the league exhibits towards the Pats, without it, we could be staring at 8 or 9 superbowls

the problem with the parity they try to instill is that when you have a front office like BB and Kraft and the way they work together for so long, that it is an unfair advantage....after BB, who's next in terms of tenure?

The parity concept never counted on BB pairing with a QB like Brady. BB adapts and evolves to address every mechanism that might send a good team to a few off years. There is never a rebuilding, so 15 years after he showed up the team has never truly had a bad year (9-7 is an awesome year for many teams - that was his worst season with the Pats with Brady).

Having failed with standard procedures, the NFL endeavored to handicap the Pats to give others a head start. The dynasty isn't dead because it simply won't die. It will be one more round of the Pats coming back like Jason Vorhees in a hockey mask after another draconian sanction to rip the league and its constituent teams a new one.
