With all due respect, you don't know what you're talking about. Sean Payton was suspended for a YEAR because he "should have known", and that quote is from Goodell. Google it if you don't believe me.

He could slap Brady with a year-long suspension with the same quote if he wants to.

Yup. Why it's hard for people to understand that. The NFLPA cannot stand in front of what is coming. Think about the 300 at Thermopylae. They are the 300, the NFL and the other "fans" are the Persians. Think they have the balls to stand up to that? I dunno.

Too bad ****Dell didn't suspend himself for the Ray Rice tape. "I didn't know about any tapes"... yea, he should have known.. in fact. He KNEW.

There is a slight difference between trying to deflate footballs and paying to injure players.

Oh, and the appeals procedures are different for players versus FO/coaches.

I think it will be fun next season to watch the Patriots ask for every road opponent's footballs to be tested.

They should do this.

Again, what virtually all Patriots fans in this thread seem to be ignoring is the fact that PROOF is not needed. This isn't a court of law. ANYTHING a player does that is deemed to harm the image of the NFL can result in all kinds of penalties and repercussions. Goodell and the NFL don't NEED absolute proof. Even a whiff is enough if they want to make an example of someone.

It's just like how universities include what's commonly referred to as a "moral turpitude" clause in professor contracts, so they can get rid of tenured professors that get embroiled in scandals regardless of whatever gets proven, if anything.

Everyone here needs to stop with the "there's no cold, hard, proof!!" angle because it doesn't matter. Brady was OBVIOUSLY a part of this to at least some degree as far as knowing what was going on, and that's enough by NFL rules.

Brady, OBVIOUSLY, wasn't a part of "this". If it was OBVIOUS there would be proof and there is no proof.

You lost....you choked. Just accept your second place trophy and go back to that rain soaked swamp you call a city and troll there instead.

Wells seemed to treat this so called investigation more like a prosecuting attorney trying a "State vs Brady" case.....just have to sell it, nevermind prove it.......That said, when I compare how I feel now with how I felt the last 9 years without a Superbowl championship.....I like now a lot better!! Patriots are Superbowl Champions!....Suck on that haters!!!!!+

That's only in reference to the kicking balls. It's the regular balls that are the biggest part of this.

(In case some onlooker doesn't realize this: Kicking balls (K-Balls) are different from "regular balls. They're handled differently pre-game and only used on Special Teams plays.)

But they were underinflated.

I'd be outraged if they even THOUGHT about suspending Brady for a game.

It says in the rule book the maximum motherf*cking fine is $25,000, doesn't it?!

With all due respect (which is none, given your very first post here), you're the one who doesn't know what he's talking about. There's a difference between the players and the non-player team employees. That, too, was shown in the Saints case.

So you think O.J. Simpson was innocent too, eh? :)

Its really now about Goodell swaying with the public opinion. After the Ray Rice mess, he will go overboard knowing Brady and NFLPA will challenge it and then get it reduced. As much as i hate it, there is no way Goodell not suspend him on this BS.

yes that is what it says but the NFL is under the control of a raging ******* known as GODell. He will put his own punishment down on Brady and the Pats because he can and the public wants it.

He's actually weasled his way out of that and handed over the punishment decision to Troy Vincent.

Goodell is a f*cking coward.

I expect Brady to get to some kind of a suspension. If Goodell does what he usually does and sticks his finger in the air and sees which way the wind blows, it will be a significant one.

The problem with suspending Brady from the NFL's perspective is that Brady could appeal his suspension to an independent arbitrator, who is liable to find the Wells Report to be an NFL-bought piece of crap. However, if they just dock the Patriots a draft pick in the 2016 draft (probably first or second round), it'll look like the league is trying to dodge a fight. An interesting dilemma.

No, actually YOU don't know what you're talking about. First, Payton was warned several times about bounties by the league. Second, the "should have known" standard applies to titled supervisors, i.e. head coaches and their defined subordinates, not players and clubhouse attendants. I was kidding earlier about you being in the top 5 dumbest posters. I'm not anymore.

Well you could always root for the Jets if you think Brady is a cheater, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
Oh go ... yourself, Go back to your basement and play halo.
