The Published Wells Report.

I think it will be fun next season to watch the Patriots ask for every road opponent's footballs to be tested.

I read through the report and this is what I think:
1. 2 low level employees spouting off to each other acting as if their jobs are the most important jobs in the world. They even talk about over inflating the balls to piss Tom off, never talked about deflating balls .
2. The Colts complained to the NFL before the game yet the NFL never took any special actions to prevent the ball to not leave their site. Can you say "sting operation"
3. One ref at halftime measured only 4 colts balls and found them to be deflated below 12.5 PSI. Why aren't they called "deflated balls"? They had more air than the Patriots balls but they were inflated higher than the Patriots balls anyway.
4. How can the say that TFB "more probably than not had a general knowledge" of taking air of the ball. there is not one bit of evidence to point to that.

I do think that Tom should come out with a statement categorically denying any knowledge of any deflation activities, period.

Lol so pointing out something in the report that no one has mentioned makes me a troll.

No. Being a troll makes you a troll. How you go about it is just descriptive.

I'm now going to look at SB49 AGAIN and watch Brady toss 4 TDs with REGULATION FILLED Footballs and do it on as Mediots would say No.1 Defense and second comin of 86 Bears (Seahawks) and what P.Manning only wished he could have done........

Public Opinion is just what it implies...........
I'll take Facts any day. Second half of Colts game & SB 49, Thank Goodness For Reg.Footballs.

From one of the tweets at https://twitter.com/jeffphowe . Notice the descrepancy between the two gauges. And apparently we're being dragged through the mud because or 1 or 2 tenths difference between the Colts and Pats' footballs.

CEV1N4yWgAAFBve.png:large

See that the PSI readings vary by as much as .45 PSI on the same ball and that Blakeman reads every Pats ball significantly lower and every Colts ball significantly higher. From 12.5 at 72 degrees, expected is 11.27 PSI. Prioulea has 8 of 11 above this, one at 11.2, 1 at 11 and 1 at 10.9. Are they claiming the Patriots let out .07 PSI, .27 PSI and .37 PSI on 3 balls only? This is an insane accusation.

One fact no one seems to be discussing is why were only 4 Colts footballs measured??? I just don't get it, they decided to measure the Colts balls for a frame of reference, but only measured some of them...as with many things this does not make sense. Was there something with the other 8 footballs the report did not to explain...food for thought.
The refs didn't have enough time to do them all because halftime was ending.

I've finally had the chance to start reading the actual report. Here is something I think they will use to hang team penalties on NE:

(that's with respect to the report's claim that NE refused to produce McNally after the initial interview.)

That's another example of Wells slanting things, and Kraft addressed it in his statement.

The refs didn't have enough time to do them all because halftime was ending.

And if you believe that I feel bad for you.

Kraft is a gutless puke for taking this lying down.

As much as his words sound like protest - he's all about 'protecting the league' rather than his own team/coach/QB.

Wouldn't be surprised if Brady and/or Belichick walk away from the game after this shameless witchhunt.

Why should they operate under the constant suspicion of wrong doing that this BS 'report' all but guarantees?

F*ck the NFL and F*ck Kraft and his buddies.

So after 4 months the evidence they come up with doesn't even come with a definitive conclusion only a guess?

This is ********

I'm supposed to believe text as if their definitive proof of something brady was doing. Yea right.

Nfl looking to save face

My question is this. Why if Brady, Gostkowski et al refused to provide text messages did McNally agree to it? I assume he was perfectly within his rights to do the same?

they got the texts from jastremski's phone, not mcnally's. page 18:
After not communicating by
telephone or text message for more than six months (based on data retrieved from Jastremski‟s
cell phone), Brady and Jastremski spoke by telephone at least twice on January 19 (calls lasting a
total of 25 minutes and 2 seconds), twice on January 20 (calls lasting a total of 9 minutes and 55
seconds) and twice on January 21 (calls lasting a total of 20 minutes and 52 seconds) before
Jastremski surrendered his cell phone to the Patriots later that day for forensic imaging.

Ted Wells: "We do not believe that the evidence supports a conclusion that there was any deliberate effort by the Patriots to circumvent the NFL's Playing Rules with respect to the kicking balls used during the AFC Championship Game." what about this line tweeted by adam schefter?

That's only in reference to the kicking balls. It's the regular balls that are the biggest part of this.

(In case some onlooker doesn't realize this: Kicking balls (K-Balls) are different from "regular balls. They're handled differently pre-game and only used on Special Teams plays.)

If they try and suspend Brady for the year he has a right to appeal. A neutral unbiased arbitrator will hear the case. The NFL has higher burden to show wrong doing. I highly doubt any arbitrator would uphold a suspension based on a probable not a substantive case with clear findings of wrong doing.

Look I don't think anybody argues that the whole ball thing is completely trivial in the grand scheme of things. However, that has nothing to do with the report or what people are going to do with it. It's more fodder for our haters, which to some extent I don't care, but it's just admittedly annoying. And that's besides the point - Tom Brady told Belichick & Kraft he didn't do anything. Him not lying to those guys is very important to me. Something that comes out and suggests he did I find disconcerting, and very annoying, as I still tend to think he did not lie.

Right. And you've posted two whole messages.

I found out about this site like 2 months ago and have just been lurking. I don't care if you think I'm a troll. I'm just presenting something that's worth bringing up.

I will admit that the main reason I'm a Pats fan is because of Brady. So if that makes me a troll lol.

Its too easy to forget that you can't directly compare the Colts football readings at halftime to the Patriot footballs.

The officials stated that the Colts started the game off .5 higher.

Every single Colt football would have been below regulation and had all 11 been actually tested, they might have compared very similarly to the Patriots.

The refs didn't have enough time to do them all because halftime was ending.
But enough time to re-inflate Patriot footballs back to spec? Whole thing is bizarre

Well I used to post on another site with fans of other teams but **** it now, just gonna be you guys.

Suspend every single NFL quarterback for week 1. Make every head coach gameplan accordingly. Advantage: Belichick.

I would even pay money to see this.

What, did they need McNally to show them how to do it quicker?
