Belichick Fighting Back A Massive Moment in Patriots History, And One for the Ages

Ian Logue

After a week of hearing reports with accusations and assumptions about how his team intentionally deflated footballs last week against Indianapolis to clinch another AFC Championship, Bill Belichick had clearly heard enough.

Huge of BB to do this.. im glad someone finally stepped up, got angry and defended this team from this ridiculous nonsense..

Its total ******** though that he had to spend time and energy on this instead of preparing for Seattle... Seahawks basically gained a competitive advantage from this entire overblown story, which is probably what Irsay and the Colts were hoping for.

I have no doubt that even though he had to waste some time dealing with this that a guy like him still has plenty of time to turn Seattle inside out. I'm sure he's had others like Patricia and McDaniels already breaking things down as well. This team is mentally tough. They'll be fine for the dance.

Excellent column, Ian.

Bump, great job Ian.

Excellent article my friend.

I have a feeling that this Pats team will come out amped up and hitting like there's no tomorrow......I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of those hits....We could be seeing backups by the second quarter....

And his owner sits idly by the wayside, silent, letting Hus team and coach fend for themselves....

Excellent article.

I am not sure that I want Kraft speaking a lot about something that he is pretty unfamiliar with, when every word is going to be dissected by the mediots.

Look up inarticulate in the Dictionary and meaning #1 is Bob Kraft.
Especially after a few brews.
Let BB speak for his team. Better he than Bob or Tommy.

No, Patricia spent all last week calculating PV = nRT on spreadsheets for Bill

Belichick's performance yesterday was a prototypical example of leadership in a time of crisis for an organization. In critical times, truly exceptional leaders step forward and shine.

I tend to agree. I think Kraft has been playing hardball behind the scenes and that the Belichick briefing on Saturday was part of a broader strategy that isn't public.

Excellent article. BB just pulled off one of the EPIC moments in sports media history. It was his finest hour in the Patriots hour of most dire need. And boy did he come through for us big time! As a fan, I can't ask for a better leader for our beloved franchise!
