I recently(yesterday) started a football blog because I thought I should do something with all the football I watch. I will mainly analyse the Patriots, but I'll throw in some other teams too. But enough about me. Lets discuss the awesome fullback that we have!

In a game where a lot of our players looked angry Develin was one that made a big impression of me. I liked him before. But I loved what I saw this game. He blew guys away and brought a very needed physicality to our team. He opened holes, he catched a pass, he ran for a first down(Yes Boger, when you cross the chains you gain a first down).

I think he will be an important part of our offense this year. When our passing game and pass blocks struggle he and Ridley can gain some tough yards.

I hope this doesn't break any rules. I don't make a single cent(or anything) from this. I just want to write about football and thought that Develin deserved some discussion here on PatsFans

The Pats have needed a serviceable fullback for a while, and Develin looks like he brings that to the team. He also gets open relatively quickly in the flats when he's not blocking. Nice write up.

This reminded of how terrible a spot he got. How did the refs decide he got no gain on that play?

I laugh every time i see his neck roll. He looks dumb out there but he really brings it, props to Dev.

Nice blog, Swedish Patriots Fan! I love the diagrams and action footage.

If Wright has another big game, give us a look at what you see from the two TE receivers formations that the Patriots use.

Keep up the good work.

If only Hoo-man blocks half as good as Develin, then the jumbo package will be greatly effective.

Pretty much the best FB we've had, that I can remember.

Good job. I love these detailed explanations of the plays. I miss so much during the game because I get so caught up with the skill players. Develin is a great blocker. Something we need desperately. Keep up the good work.

Nice job, I was very impressed. I look forward to reading more of you blogs.

Absolutely love Devlin.

A shame that teams barely even keep one FB on the roster as I really liked what I saw from linebacker converted to fullback McCuller as well.

I still say the NFL should double the amount of slots available to the Practice Squad.

Hope we continue utilizing him and a more physical approach on offense.

Great choice for your blog. He's going to help us run the ball.

Sam Gash? I'm with Devlin but I'm a newbie. I initially hated the "waste of a roster spot" on a FB. I've 180ed and love this guy's game. If you focus on running play replays you see the damage this guy does lead blocking.

And he got the 1st down Sunday but was boogered.

Great write up!

There was a play where Develin absolutely pancaked his guy. I think it was one of the DEs, but it was vicious. I don't think Ridley got a huge gain on the play because he was pursued to the sideline by one of their LBs, but Develin really impressed there. Love this guy!

Thanks for your analysis. I'm a big fan of Develin's and intimidating power football in general.
