Peyton "rule change" Manning at it again

As to Peyton & Brady evidence is that they're friendly competitors with respect & no dislike of each other.
The only expressed hatred Brady has is for the NY Jets.

And of course, his coach/GM. :)

To be fair, this whole team hates its coach. :)

Lol. Thanks I guess. Thanks for at least seeing I'm not trolling. I'm not that kind of fan. I know and personally dislike hearing people troll or use personal feelings to discredit a player or a team. Just yesterday I called a guy a fool for admitting his criticisim of Brady is just becasue he doesn't' like his personality. I'm a diehard Bronco's fan and only come here hoping to have civil conversations with possibly the most consistently competitive franchise in the league. I wouldn't be on here with Jets fans. My fanhood doesn't get in the way of me viewing other teams. Nothing I mentioned was saying you guys cheat, the NFL gives you wins, or any of that crap. These new rules are sometimes weak and offense friendly. However, as a fan of a pass first team, I can't really complain too much because I believe we've made the league/viewers love this style of play. In my opinion, the Pats, Saints, Packers, and even the Falcons are right in the boat with us. People often tell me the league likes team like the Broncos that pass all the time because it's good for ratings. I'm like okay, guilty as charged.
There are often fans of rival teams who come here and if they present reasonable arguments/positions which conflict with those of us here, they are treated and responded to in a reasonable manner (except for Jets fans who are intellectually and genetically incapable of sound reasoning.). However, if one comes in here trolling with guns blazing there are more than enough people here able and willing to stick said guns up said troll's *** and do it while grinning from ear to ear. Shrinking violets are in relatively short supply here. Generally speaking, people visiting here get treated as they treat others.

Fair enough to all of the points made. My closing argument is only, did Peyton really lobby for the rules to be changed or say that's the reason he lost. Maybe my glasses are tinted too orange, but I didn't hear complaining or lobbying. These were his words after pulling off a great comeback, and being bummed out he never touched the ball again.

It puts a premium on the coin toss,” Manning said. “I called tails at the beginning of the game, and went with it again in overtime. It was heads, and it proved to be a significant call. But that’s the way it is. And you’d like to not leave it to that, leave it to get to that situation.”

I don't see a lot of complete Manning press conferences, so I'll admit I could be missing stuff, but when you see Brady pressers after a loss, it's a lot of "we didn't play well enough" and "we didn't execute" and "we didn't take advantage of situations", etc. To me, Manning seems like he deflects blame a because I can't recall hearing him say stuff like that. Instead we get "winning the coin toss is a premium" and "lets just say we had some problems in protection" and "So, really just an overall … nobody’s fault. Not Manning’s fault."

After the talent drain over the last 2 off-seasons, he should.

Can't believe Manning settled for such an early bye this season. And he's on the road in New England again? Can't believe Archie couldn't pull some strings and make a phone call for him.

Don't blame Peyton. He can't help it. Blame Archie. :)

No matter how many times I see that .GIF, I laugh. That's probably one of the best of all time.

That's been pronounced - he'll talk trash about who didn't do their jobs on the field. "Let's just say we had some problems in protection" seems like a lot of the Manning pressers. But these guys are reflecting the level of latitude they are accorded - Tom has (more or less) bought into the "vertical integration" in the Pats' system, where messaging responsibility goes all the way down to the players. Doesn't always work of course... we all remember Welker's podium speech about being a "good foot-soldier"... but at the QB level it's been pretty solid.

You don't think there's a time or two where Brady didn't want to say "WTF am I SUPPOSED to do, you moron? I got sacked X times, I'm on my back half the game..." Of course there were. But that's the whole "Patriot Way" thing, win as a team, lose as a team.

I don't think Brady has any love for the Jets or the Raiders. Brady was also quoted in the past saying that he would never play for the Raiders and their fans were jerks. Or something like that. :D Maybe that goes back to his youth as a Niner fan...

I don't know what he thinks about the Steelers but he always seems to really enjoy beating them more than any other team. Loved the spike and glare at the Steeler fans the last time they played in Heinz field...

Look, I don't want to jinx any part of the future, but if he ends up not in a Pats jersey for that year or two analogous to Peyton in Denver or Montana in KC... his favorite team will be anybody playing the Pats. Human nature, right?

Let's hope we don't have to see that :)
