I'm assuming you're asking about starting at LG. Out of those, I'd say Kline.

LG squire, LG.

I'm hoping Kline be at least something like the player Steve Neal was for us.

Is the assumption that Devey is definitely making the team? If so, I still want Connolly and one of Kline/Halapio.

Yes, sir. I have made a mistake and edited my post. If Kline turns out to be like Neal, I'll be very, very pleased.

I say Kline too...which means we're ALL probably wrong

Incognito

Sorry someone had to wonder out loud.

Solder-Kline-Connolly-Cannon-Vollmer?

That's the best I got.

Kline seems logical but in a starting role he could end up being consistently handed to tom Brady while he is trying to throw a football. That doesn't mean. That doesn't mean I think devey or connolly are any better. I think our best shot at guard is Cannon at LG and Fleming at RG. Cannon has experience protecting the edge in the NFL and has very good size/length and pretty good power, while Fleming knows how to win and blocks with very good power at 330 lbs to play RG at a high level. I don't know how anybody can argue they aren't the best options at guard.. Unless Bellichick likes Brady sweating and having to settle for dinks and dunks while devey and Kline are running backwards right at him

That's what I'm hoping for. I would even take Incognito at LG. At this point, I'm just trying to envision ways that, come January, we don't be all dejected and complaining that interior pressure killed the offense and ended our season again.

Right now I think I would like to see Kline there. I'm rewatching the Ravens game from last year right now and Kline looks pretty good actually. I would like to see and interior line of Kline-Stork-Cannon. Stork probably won't start week one as he missed a lot of camp. But hopefully he can come into the starting spot early to mid-season.

I like solder, cannon, connolly,FLEMING,Vollmer. Stork when he returns would push connolly at center. If he outplays him it would be great. If not Connolly has shown to be an OK center although below average guard. I think that lineup protects Brady the best and even could be somewhat dominant. Solder struggles every preseason if anybody has noticed, I don't know what the dude does all off season. Cannon has really become a good technician as he did OK protecting the edge. He was the RT and he wasn't the weak link. At 330+ lbs and good technique I think he could settle in as a very good LG. Connolly lacks power and talent to consistently block the better DTs and 3-4 DEs as a guard but has enough talent, power and technique to play OK at center where he won't have to block better lineman man up as often. Fleming has the most interior talent. He could protect the edge at RT due to him knowing how to block and win but lacks athleticism to play RT in the NFL at a consistently high level. However he has very good athleticism for a RG and you couple that with his power and length at 6'5 330+ LBs along with his great feel for blocking and he has talent to be a very good/pro bowl caliber RG. Vollmer if he can stay injury free is a top 5 RT. He is turning 30 and a replacement at Right Tackle is needed in the next draft or free agency especially with his injury history. But hopefully he can play a full season this year

His replacement is not Cameron Fleming! Flemings best position is RG by far! Hopefully Bellichick sees that as he is listed as a guard on official website. Why would you take a player from a position he is a standout at and put him at a position he struggles at somewhat, then place a player that struggles in that position he plays very well and have a RG and RT that struggles. I think its best toplay Fleming at RG and find a player that plays great at RT and RT being that players best position

From left to right: Solder, Kline, Connolly, Cannon, Vollmer.
Reserves: Wendell, Devey, Fleming.
Practice squad: Stork, Cave, Barker

I agree with your L to R starters, but I would be surprised if our 4th round pick Stork was cut.

Optimistic: Solder-Kline-Connolly-Cannon-Vollmer
Pessimistic: Solder-Connolly-Wendell-Cannon-Vollmer or Solder-Kline-Wendell-Connolly-Vollmer

I would like to see them play Solder-Cannon-Stork-Fleming-Vollmer on Thursday with Garopollo back there just to see what it looks like.

I'm actually hoping that Cannon could get a shot at LG. In reality... no idea.

I think many of us want to see Cannon as guard. But BB hasn't really seemed to agree on that. It could be because both Solder and Vollmer has had health issues and he wants to be able to put a backup tackle in without reshuffling the line. With that said I'd still like to see Cannon get a chance to play guard for us. I'd like to see them try Flemming too as he is strong, but doesn't really move as well as you'd like a tackle do.

Bill Belichick will most likely go with the following offensive line:

From Left to Right - Solder, Kline, Wendell, Connolly, Vollmer
Backups: Cannon, Devey, Fleming, Stork
Practice Squad: Halapio

Let's hope not.
