Its technically the bye week for us so I thought it would be a good time look back at the most important game of the regular season.

Obviously I am talking about the Week 12 game against the Broncos. Much like the 49ers game a year ago this was hyped as the game of the year and definitely matched expectations. I also think it easily qualifies as the greatest comeback in our history after you factor in the record setting offense the Broncos ended up being and the extreme odds against the Patriots with their lack of offensive weapons and defensive stars.

Here is a great video of the game made by someone on youtube.

This game was an embodiment of the 2013 season as a whole. Things we have noticed all year and heard about from the players: they are tough, gritty, not flashy but effective and most of all they are just winners. If we can play every game like we did those last 30 minutes I love our Superbowl chances.

I am torn between the Broncos game and the Saints game. Both were hard on my blood pressure. :D

Granted it was only 13-3 in the 4th qtr but #1 is the Snow Bowl vs the Raiders.

I thought the Pats/Refs....uh, I mean Jest game was pretty exciting. :bricks:

This year, every game has been tough on my blood pressure....

Hard to beat that one. Felt like they were down by 30.

Oh boy that was a great one too. I definitely have it high on my list of comebacks and agree it felt like we were down by so much more. There are a bunch of games which meant more or fans were more emotionally invested in but I guess I was talking about this comeback from a more numbers and odds standpoint.

I guess this game is so fresh on my mind Im giving less credit to the older ones. At the very least I should have taken out the "easily" when I talked about this being the greatest comeback in history.

1996 ... Pats at Giants ... Down 22-3 after three the Pats rally to a 23-22 victory ... Opened the door to the playoffs and a SuperBowl run ...

A Jets fans greatest comeback memory may be of a game in preseason against the jaguars :rocker::rocker:

I think of the two the Broncos game has to be higher on the list. Larger deficit overcome and it took a longer sustained stretch of great play. The Saints game we failed the 2 minute offense twice and because of timing we had a third chance which TB did not waste but in the Broncos game we had to be almost perfect for a half and into OT.

Both great comebacks but in my opinion the Broncos was tougher.

Holding the most prolific offense in history to 7 points in the second half and overtime is amazing. Not sure how there is even a discussion about this. It's not just the comeback, it is who the opponent was.

Pats roaring back against the 49ers was EPIC and sadly fell short. Down 31-3, looked dead, and stormed right back into the game against arguably the league's best team. I wish it had been a victory because that was great.

Critique all you'd like (the most we were down was 7), but my favorite Patriots comeback to this day is the Monday Night game at Denver in 2003. That thug Al Wilson was on his high horse the entire game and then gets absolutely demolished at the end. BB's safety call is still the best in game decision he's ever made and the Givens touchdown at the end was one of the best moments of that season (barring McGinest and Ted Washington's stop at the end of the Indy game).
