It's the same thing as the Sterling Moore play, it has two sides to it. Evans and Amendola didn't secure it.
So if you agree the defender had something to do with it, how do you call it a choke?

Cue the excuse making by homers about the refs. Aside from the Fletcher call, refs been calling it lose all game.
Ultimately, the team put themselves in another have to come from behind scenario. Defense couldn't make stops especially 3rd and longs. Tackling was terrible.
It would have been nice if Amendola had made a play over the defender but the defender made the play. Team lacks playmakers so their margin of error is very small.
Let's hope for the best with Cincy tonight. The number one bye is gone because Denver has a cakewalk from here on out. I believe Cincy will drop another game so let's just hope the team can come up with something at Baltimore.
I just hate that the team let a winnable game get away. Another desperate team next week. Bill needs to inform this team that playoff ball has already started.
Now that Gronk is lost, we have no red zone threat. That will be our undoing in the playoffs.
Usually Ninkovich comes up big in the clutch. He was active, but I don't remember any good pressures on Miami passing plays.Ummm.....no Mayo, no Wilfork, no Kelley.
The defense is NOT put together with duct tape?????????????????
A win would have won them the division. This loss probably bothered him more than others. It bothered me too. A lot was on the line today. Made me wonder if they even have a chance to do much in the playoffs.
Amendola had no chance to secure it, because he caught the ball over his head with the defenders hand in between his own.
I'm a dumb two year old, wah wah. Tell me how it is Daddy.
Peace out Patsfans. Be back later.
Idk, Dobson if healthy can be that bug red zone threat that was lacking in previous years without Gronk.
We might. But Dobson and Thompkins are going to have to get big and win jump balls in the red zone and Dennard and Talib are going to have to get healthy.

Our D was poor. Miami's first TD at the end of the half was really inexcusable.
I'll buy the floppy shoes, big red nose, and horn to honk for McDaniels, and you all can buy the jester hat with the bells and the balls to juggle for Patricia.
Exactly. That play was not on Ryan. The WR got good position on him. While he may have grabbed the jersey, he was using correct form so the refs will never call it. If Gregory takes a better angle on the play to make the tackle and actually wraps him up instead of flying in with a shoulder, Clay is stopped short.
1. I thought McD abandoned the run too early, especially give the state of our receivers.
2. Boyce's drops killed us.
3. Jules is a beast.
4. I thought the "next man up" deal was still gonna work for this team. Only problem is that with Gronk or Brady, there is no "next man." I'm pessimistic about our chances now.
Comments like this astonish me.
In a league where the average team is scoring 24 ppg how can any TD be inexcusable.
Your expectation that the defense must stop everyone every time is ridculous.
Note that the defense had shut them out in the first half, so you are saying points allowed in the first half is horrendous and inexcusable.
We got killed by the pass, and we got killed by poor tackling. Our secondary is basically the same as it was at the start of the season so they have no excuse to be allowing so many catches. The offense actually has the possibility to get better but the defense is as good as its going to get. They HAVE to do better than that.
The important thing is did they get the job done when it counted. And the answer was a resounding NO for the defense. Giving up the tying score at the end of the half; giving up a critical four down play - those are signs of a loser squad. The offense actually still got within a hair's breadth of winning it in spite of everything.
I don't think McDaniels called a good game today by any stretch of the imagination. And I'm someone that has defended him all year.
I think it's unreasonable to generally be upset with giving up 24 points, but execution of basic tackling fundamentals would have prevented that TD.
That said, we were lucky three points bounced off of the Miami holder's face.
