I actually like that the language is allowed to be a little looser there. The double standard stuff is a terrible approach, though, and the mod that Banned that poster is a particularly vile example of a mod who abuses his powers while enforcing that double standard. Sooth should put an end to it, because it's hurting that board as a whole. By allowing the Jets posters to abuse the Patriots posters incessantly, but not allowing much payback by the Patriots posters before banning them, it's encouraged the sort of terrible behavior we can see exhibited by the likes of SG3, who's basically become nothing more than a ball of "Pats Trolls! SOJF!" hate, and doesn't really do anything beyond ruining threads.

I read the board ...for the obvious unintentionally comedic thoughts of Jet fan in general..there's not much that I could post that SAR doesn't cover better anyway...but the blatant, moronic hypocrisy displayed by the board owner and his henchmen..that always requires a response that opens EVERYONE's eyes...not just Pats fans.

this season of New York Jets football began with a strange, strange report: Rex Ryan had lost 106 pounds yet gained a secret "sensei." Wrote the Star-Ledger in July about Ryan's sensei:

The sensei's identity is intriguingly guarded within the walls of the Jets facility. He is male and does not work in the building. He and Ryan speak a few times a month. He offers advice and perspective, and "really has me look at myself," Ryan said. But other details are scarce.

Asked if the sensei is a former coach, Ryan says, "He's a coach of mine." Thurman, one of Ryan's most trusted confidants, pretends not to know about the sensei before jumping up from the interview table. Tannenbaum squirms similarly, offering only that the sensei is a "special person who has bettered all of us."

"After we have the season that we're going to have," Ryan says coyly, "I'll mention his name."

Miyagi???....paging a Mr. Miyagi...!...please report to the Atlantis concierge desk at once!....bring warm towels and nail clippers, stat!

they stunk...when any team stinks in the NFL, the season ends and you hear nothing from them or about them again until training camp...not this stinking cesspool of braincell starved toe lickers, drunks, serial dads, criminals and morons...I'm guessing the Jets will ,if they haven't already, become the league "clown franchise" and represent Roger Goodell's "New League Order" on the world stage, replete with flag football rags, fixed refs, Undertaker half time impersonation contests and "Win a Date With Eva Longoria" raffle tickets....jeezus...it IS beyond belief...what will this sinkhole of a franchise dream up next??

The delayed press conf with Rex & Woody Jan 8th will be comedy gold. Someone's gotta bring up the who was the sensei question. Ask about Sporano's delayed fate, like Fredo's deferred until the mother had passed. And the offseason plans for Tebow. And be sure to goad Rex into making a 2013 prediction.

So much material, so little time.

Fortunately, the Jets players have no moratorium on throwing people under the bus:

Tony Sparano reportedly doubted by Jets players - NFL.com

Tony Sparano lacked "'creativity and flexibility' in his play-calling with a distinct lack of imagination and innovation"? That's pretty much the Jets' version of "I'm shocked, shocked to find there's gambling going on in here". :singing:

My favourite bit of reading the likes of JI and TGG, is when you see posters referring to others as "SOJF's" as well as slagging off "SOJF's".

YOU'RE ALL SOJF'S!

That's what makes you - the latent belief that you're better than the next guy despite no proof of that, whilst constantly denying other opinions and angrily arguing the opposite.

'kin morons.

This one is too funny:

Seriously, what perspective Chargers' GM is going to trade Rivers for Sanchez? Even if the Jets threw in two firsts and two seconds in the deal, the $8.25 million guarantee for Sanchez is too much. Maybe if the Jets eat $6-7 million and offer two firsts and a second, the new Chargers' GM might listen. Then again, I doubt it even with the massive decline of Rivers.

Yet again, it is the Jets brass and coaching staff living in a fantasy world. I have no fears that the Jets will be good any time soon.

As predicted:

Rex Ryan wants Norv Turner as New York Jets' OC? - NFL.com

Apparently Rex thinks that Norv can turn Sanchez into Rivers. Of course, Sanchez already has Rivers' mastery of turnovers and chokes down.

1. Buttfumble 8 thumbs up
(Noun-Verb) - To run directly into your offensive lineman's rear end so violently that it in turn causes the quarterback to misplace the pigskin out of his hands and onto the ground ultimately causing a fumble.
Mark Sanchez is the pioneer of the Buttfumble.

Urban Dictionary: Buttfumble

"10. Are things going to get worse before they get better?
The Jets and Giants will be hosting the Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium next year. The AFC team will practice at the Jets facility; the NFC club will be at the Giants facility. There have been a lot of low points in Jets history, but if the Patriots are in Super Bowl XLVIII and Belichick has the run of Gang Green’s headquarters in Florham Park, the Jets might as well just cease operations."

It won't exactly be a picnic for the Pats either; Rats carry diseases.

Funny, I thought they already had.

I watched "That's My Boy" starring Rexie the Foot-Loving Clown last night, what an embarrassment for the Jets to have their coach and #1 fan Sandler fawning over the Pats HOFers. That said, if Rex were to ever wear the Red, Silver and Blue as a DC, I believe he'd get down on his knees as the SB winds down with the Pats winning the SB and kiss every single one of Belicheck's rings twice.

LOL! Wasn't Santonio Holmes praising how creative and flexible Sparano's offense was this preseason. Here is a quote from him this preseason:

“It gives (Sanchez) options now. He doesn’t have to stare down one receiver to get him the ball. He can throw the ball wherever he wants to, based on the coverage.”

Jets see possibilities for passing game in Tony Sparano's new offense | NJ.com

Also from the same article:

There is no doubt Ryan and the Jets hired the “like-minded” Sparano to replace former offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer in large part because of Sparano’s affinity for ground and pound. But in the past several weeks, Sanchez and his receivers have happily discovered great potential for the passing game, too, in Sparano’s system.

The key lies in flexibility, allowing the quarterback and his receivers to make fluid and choreographed adjustments in order to best attack the voids and weaknesses of the opposing defense.
As Sparano told the offense in a meeting Thursday morning, “We are not robots.”

Also from the article:

The possible benefits of Sparano’s system — tight end Dustin Keller believes it can be “unstoppable”

And Kerley said this:

“That’s why I think everybody is buying into his style of coaching, his playbook that he brought over,” Kerley said. “It works. It’s a lot more freedom, it’s a lot more for us to get out there and just win on routes, period. Just win.”
