Cundiff, other Raven players claim the Pats scoreboard erred on final drive.

as expected here is breer on twitter

@Marc_Bertrand Patriots brought all of it on themselves with what happened in 2007. If it weren't for that, this wouldn't be a big deal.

@TJMcCabe23 @Marc_Bertrand Missing my point completely -- Game mismanagement IS on the Ravens. But suspicion over cheating? That's on NE.

@Marc_Bertrand Not arguing who's fault it is. Harbaugh should've called TO. Agreed. But reason for suspicion is NE's history, which is fair.

Give me a friggin break. Dude did not execute the kick, end of story!! He had one job to do, and he did not do it.
The score board had nothing to do with it. What a bunch of crap!

The notion that this was some sort of nefarious scheme on the part of the Patriots is absurd for one simple reason: the whole thing played out too perfectly for it to have been planned in advance.

Seriously, what do these people think happened? Belichick had a plan in place where he said to the scoreboard operator: "OK, here's what I want you to do. If it's late in the game and there's some crazy play where the other team fumbles the ball forward and it looks like they may have gotten a first down but it's actually 2nd-and-1, I want you to put "1st down" on the scoreboard because that way we may just be able to fool an opposing kicker who had his head in his ass not paying attention to the game forcing him to rush onto the field when he tries to kick a game tying FG."

If Belichick was so far sighted that he anticipated and planned for that possibility than I seriously want him to quit as HC of the NEP and immediately be appointed a 5-star general in charge of all American Armed Forces across the globe.

What's the name on the Team we played last Sunday? It seems like so three days ago.:snob:

That team whines, complains, and makes excuses more than any team in the league. The Patriots do so LESS than any team in the league. That's why the Patriots are 7 and 1 against them all time.

What a bunch of effing losers!

For what it's worth: the scoreboard operator was very slow changing down-and-distance and yard-line spot all day. I noticed that from the very beginning because I check it often throughout games and was frustrated by this Sunday. But regardless, the Ravens should know that the scoreboard is for fans, not players and coaches. Everything they need to know is right there on the field. To claim otherwise is both unprofessional and lazy.

For all the fans spend on tickets, can't Kraft hire a scoreboard operator that remains sober the entire game? Or are we still using prison labor like we did in the snowblow game?

This......

WE ALL KNOW HOW RUTHLESS BELICHICK IS..... WE"VE SEEN THE TAPE.

p.s. Sorry could not resist. That video still makes me giggle everytime I see it.

I hope that works for them, the game is over. What a bunch of sore losers and I do mean losers. Can't they just STFU? Everytime we play these guys and beat them, its the same s**t.

Already in the works. But he first must fulfill a 7 Super Bowl win obligation in the NFL to jump ahead of the Steelers. He's already gotten that call. Once he's done his job in the NFL, him and Tom plan on moving on to world domination.

Little notice that the clock stopped for 10 seconds when the Boldin ball went out of bounds and the ref was waving his arms frantically for the clock to restart, but by the time it did, 10 seconds had gone off the clock. so what are the Ravens complaining about? They got at least one free play at the end of the game.

The ball was snapped on this play with 0:51 remaining in the game. The next play was run with 0:27 left. When the fumble took place, the game clock was temporarily stopped until the ball was placed back at the 14 yd line. Once marked, the clock was restarted. According to the NFL Rule Book, the referees handled this play correctly.

NFL Rule 4-3-3-g
If a fumble or backward pass by any player goes out of bounds, the game clock starts when an official places the ball at the inbounds line, and the Referee signals that the ball is ready for play.

I'm just hoping this is the best controversy the media and muster over the next week and a half. This is a nice change vs the poo-storm that was stirred in 07.

This is funny!

I don't understand why their Scoreboard Consultant didn't pick up on this, that guy should be out of a job.

what the eff kind of NFL football staff has a freakin' "scoreboard consultant"?

these jerks should have a "unicorns and rainbows" consultant for their fairy tales

So is he of the opinion that if it's third down, and he misses the kick, he'd get another shot on "fourth down"?

I'm not quite sure how the down would influence the inaccuracy of his kick.
My take on this is that he thought he had another down while warming up on the sideline, delaying his getting on the field until he realized it was 4th down and he had to get out there.

But as you say, they had a time out to spare and coulda used it. Coulda, woulda, shoulda.

All of this could have been avoided had he just worn his Forever Lazy Ravens footie pajamas, then he could have run right out and knocked it through without ever having to shed a thing.
