We don't have a thread on this so I thought I'd start one. Here's the most up to date list I can find of those underclassmen that have declared to date:

Mike Ball, RB, Nevada

Justin Blackmon, WR, Oklahoma State

Vontaze Burfict, LB, Arizona State

Fletcher Cox, DL, Mississippi State

David DeCastro, OG, Stanford

Marcus Forston, DT, Miami

Chris Givens, WR, Wake Forest

Robert Griffin III, QB, Baylor

Cliff Harris, CB, Oregon

Ronnie Hillman, RB, San Diego State

LaMichael James, RB, Oregon

Aldarius Johnson, WR, Miami

Chandler Jones, DE, Syracuse

Matt Kalil, USC

Ronnell Lewis, DE/OLB, Oklahoma

Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford

Terrell Manning, LB, North Carolina State

Jonathan Martin, OT, Stanford

Whitney Mercilus, DE, Illinois

Lamar Miller, RB, Miami

Donte Paige-Moss, DE/OLB, North Carolina

Nick Perry, DE/OLB, USC

Dontari Poe, DT, Memphis

Chris Polk, RB, Washington

Riley Reiff, OT, Iowa

Mohamed Sanu, WR, Rutgers

Darrell Scott, RB, South Florida

Tommy Streeter, WR, Miami

Robert Turbin, RB, Utah State

Olivier Vernon, DE, Miami

Brandon Washington, OL, Miami

Potentially disappointing is that Tony Pauline is reporting that A) Luke Kuechly is thinking of not coming out (which probably affects our first rounders) and B) Jonathan Banks (CB MIss. St.) might not be coming out, one of the more fluid CB's in the draft.

Great Thread idea!!

Where did you get your information on Robert Griffin? He has not officially declared, though many people think he will, it's not been made official. I have in-laws who are big Baylor supporters and have said that Griffin is torn over the decision because he doesn't want to disappoint anyone.

Can anyone remember the last time there was such a weak class of RBs???

This year's draft class? They've been seriously underwhelming minus a few stretches of Helu and Murray.

Side Note: Still pissed they took Vereen over Murray.

Hindsight is amazing, isn't it.. I'm talking about the lack of a top end runner. This year's class had that in Ingram and Ryan Williams..

Vereen and Murray are different types of players. Vereen is more of a 3rd down back like Kevin Faulk while Murray is more of a North/South runner..

Hindsight? I wanted Murray months before the draft even started. And Murray has excellent pass catching skills, so that excuse doesn't work either.

Got the list from NFLmocks. Looks like they might have been a little premature. I imagine they're going on reports that RGIII's parents have been in discussion with agents since last year reportedly.

Murray started his NFL career hurt and finished the season hurt. Let's see if he can stay healthy for one NFL season before we crown him...

How is that any worse than Vereen? Almost 900 yards rushing and another 200 in the passing game is pretty damn good in the time span he did it in.

The "Hindsight" was in reference to your claim that past year's draft class was "underwhelming" and you using what they did in games as proof.. THAT is hindsight.

As for Murray, you clearly don't understand the difference between a North/South runner and a 3rd down back.

Of course it's not any worse than Vereen. He was the most productive rookie rb this season. But looking at his struggles with injury back in college and in his first year as a pro gives me enough reason to believe that he won't enjoy a long career in the NFL. So let's wait and see if he can stay healthy and repeat his success before we crown him the best back of the draft.

I'd argue with you but if you can't see something as clear as this its pretty obvious you're hopeless.

Vereen has the ability to be an every down back (except maybe short yardage but his versatility could probably keep him on the field in 3rd/4th and 1). With a full off season and camp I expect him to make huge strides next year.

Who gives a crap about RB class. We aren't taking a RB under any circumstances.

While the Pats may not be taking a RB, the class being poor means other teams won't be either. Which means that it's less likely that players the Pats want get pushed down to their picks.
