No to me. We now have next to NO depth at safety, a position we have employed three at a time in recent years.

Hopefully this means we're going after another safety, because as of right now, even if you have faith in Sergio Brown pulling a Kyle Arrington, that leaves 3 capable safeties on the roster, *maybe* 4 if you count Dowling. After watching Ihedigbo on Saturday, I hope he's exclusively a STer, because he has no business playing safety.

I expected this after Saturday.

Sanders made a half-hearted attempt at a tackle, it was pathetic. He may also have lost half a step. Plus his salary.

He had three guns aimed at his head: salary, speed, softness.

It doesn't matter that he's the headiest member of the secondary. Kyle Arrington may be slotted to the safety position for the moment until they find out what they have in Dowling.

It's odd: Darius Butler may now be 3rd string CB and an injury away from starting.

I hope you're right, but cutting him this early would tell me they are not interested.
Wow, this is a real stunner to me, figured he was one of the few we could count on in the secondary...

Hard to project Dowling playing anything, since he's practiced about 6 times in camp, with no OTAs and passing camps...Tough year to be a rookie.

Not to me. I thought about him getting cut this morning. He's a minimum wage caliber player who wasn't starting and wasn't really good. He was overpaid from his extension that he signed a couple of years ago.
