I tell you what, you have to hunt to the deeper pages of the news organizations for NFL stuff over there (UK). Here is a compilation:
I don’t know how it’d work logistically but it’s a great idea. People in the NFL are mostly just happy to have a job in the NFL. It's definitely an honour. If there was a team here and they wanted me to play for it, I wouldn’t mind it one bit.

60-second interview: Stephen Gostkowski - Times Online

“These people carry my name in the community. They pulled a fast one early on and drafted a player who beat up women and I cut him, to make the point.”

Success story of New England Patriots holds hint of what might have been for Liverpool - Times Online

"The surprise about Tom is that he is the kind of great guy that you would want as a friend,” said Joey Galloway, the wide receiver who joined the Patriots from the Buccaneers in the close season but was released by New England this week.

Tom Brady ready to parade skills on Wembley hallowed turf - Times Online

"I've been to Ladies' Day at Ascot, dressed in a top hat and tails and feeling like a turkey. But I've never been to Wembley. That's the 'Mecca'; what a thrill it is to be going to an institution that is very special to the English people.

Robert Kraft turned off Liverpool bid by football's money war - Telegraph

Tom Brady is the sporting superstar who won the lottery that never stopped paying out. He is married to Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen, stands 6ft 4in tall, is polite, deferential, has perfect teeth and hair, and is almost ridiculously good-looking.

They're all Southerners. South of Berwick-upon-Tweed; southerners. :)

I think the term you're looking for is 'civilised'. We use a knife and fork down here; wear trousers etc.

It's good.

I live in Cambridge, but I'm from Edinburgh. :)

I absolutely detest the comparisons between Beckham and Brady. Beckham was a good player at his best, indeed a very good player, but he never assumed the mantle of the best player the sport had to offer like Brady has done. He's never been the best player at his position, and he's never been the best player at his club.

The only comparisons to be drawn are off the pitch (field? :D), where Beckham has cornered the market in terms of marketability and brand name, although comparing Victoria Beckham and Giselle Bundchen is like comparing a Kia Rio to a Corvette.

Aye! Good thing the game isn't in Scotland

"...Then I got drafted by the Patriots almost ten years ago, who for me are the best organisation in the NFL...It's an honour and privilege for me to play for this team."

Oh my. TFB has only been there for a matter of hours and he's already going all Madonna and trying to sound like a native Brit! ;) :D

I must say everything I've read so far is extremely positive about the Pats. I wonder if there is a way to get some of England's sportswriters to be contributors to BSPN?!

I can't believe the Globe sent Shanknancy to London to cover the Pats.. that crusty hard-boiled glass-half-empty, old-school journalism bull just won't die.

This only goes to show you how out of touch with the readers, Shanknancy's superiors are. Have they no idea that nobody likes him anymore?

And use the knife and fork onto food that isn't battered ;)

Sorry; I had to :)

Just saw Mike Reiss, Andy Hart and a lot of other pats on BBC London

The reporter from the BBC at the end seemed pretty excited, and he thinks that sooner or later London will have it's on team.

Nothing new. Globe mis-management continually demonstrates how out of touch they are with their shrinking readership. The CHB is SOOOooo Twentieth Century. As is the Globe.

Hey... there's nothing wrong with take-away fish & chips, coupled with take-away beer from the pub.

Follow it up with a deep-fried chocolate bar and a cuppa and life's all good again.

I read this comment on English cuisine: There are thousands of Italian restaurants in England. I wonder why there are hardly any English restaurants in Italy?

Comments from our Brit contingent?

This I know to be true. Do you have it up on the board or do you only cook them to special order?

We don't have it on the board, but most people know we do them. We are the only place that does them in town.

But there is a reason we call them 'mini heart attacks' ;)

Because there are very few places that just do english food. They usually offer LOADS of different cuisines :)

Italians not skilled enough to cook our food?
