Re: OT: Jay Cutler to Bears for Orton, 2 firsts, third
I think its a good move for both teams, the bears finally have a quarterback. Broncos have high peaks to improve the team.
Re: OT: Jay Cutler to Bears for Orton, 2 firsts, third
The broncos had more leverage than the Pats, they do not have the salary cap issues the Pats had when Cassel signed.
I agree the whole spygate situation has been overblown.
Although the fact that the pats got fined shows that they did do something wrong.
That being said I agree that others have blown this issue out of proportion due to the success of the patriots.
What exactly is the rule?
Is it that...
That's an interesting point, if the tape did come from someone else it is going to be hard to prove. Ultimately if Walsh has a tape of the rams practice, the patriots legacy will be tarnished. That being said all I think he has is probably more taping of defensive signals.
Does anybody...
Marquise did not have the numbers on the field, but it was still a tragic and untimely death. It is a sensitive issue and it is best not to use the jersey at this point. That being said I agree that we eventually have to move forward and this number shouldn't be retired.
I have a great deal of respect for Marvin Harrison, and will give him the benefit of the doubt.
That being said if he is in anyway involved, I expect to see a pacman type suspension or worse if he actually pulled the trigger.
Re: John Clayton "New England one of the biggest losers on first draft day"
As much as I hate to agree with John Clayton, I do think that the Pats picking 7th was not good for them.
The top prospects of the class had already been taken, and Mayo probably would have been available later...
Hey any of you guy think that they were targeting Rivers by moving down to the 10th pick? I am only wondering since Mayo may have still been available a little bit later in the round.
Then again they probably had a hard time trading the pick, due to the cost.
Reiss made a good point on why they won't take a CB with the 7th pick.
He said that, if they truly wanted to pay a corner that kind of money they would have worked out a deal with Asante, instead of paying a unproven player.
I don't see them using that pick if both Chris Long and Vernon...
