Very LAMMEEEEEE Propaganda from SNY Post-draft...

I thought that was a pretty fair assessment, especially considering it was a partisan Jets show. It was certainly more fair than some posters here that edited their statements.

The guy obviously said Vrabel wasn't highly touted and we made him great. Praised our ability to find good fits more than once.

One of them said about three sentences about Wheatley being a good pick, then said if he can do it in the pros, which became "I don't think he can do it in the pros" upon translation. And there are plenty here who complained about short cornerbacks.

Well the losers got a pick they thought we wanted. When you're a loser, you need something to crow about. Hopeful this works as well as when they traded the house for Robertson at NT and we got stuck with Warren.:D

Don't forget the fact that the Jets already had a really good tight end and have now pissed him off by giving what could have been his money to a rookie. So even if he isn't a bust how much better does he have to be than Baker to make that pick worth it? Unless they make Baker happy as well because you do need more than one guy but you see where I am going....

Now that Baker has been alienated he is a really good TE? This is a guy who averages just over 2 receptions and 30 yards per game.

I wouldn't call him the Second Coming, or anything, but Jets fans should be very worried that the players and coaches/management have had several incidents like this.

agreed, it is not to assuring to have heard the same deal from Kendall, Coles, and now Baker in two years. I also will say though that Coles was the only player who dealt with the situation with any class and he didn't the contract extension he wanted but they guaranteed the final two years of his deal. Hopefully there isn't anyone *****ing in the near future b/c I can't think of a player on this team who I like who isn't locked up for at least 3 more years. Coles said the Jets promised him a new deal or hinted at one. Baker and Kendall were just whining about contracts they already had and the Jets did not promise either of them anything.

I am apperently over rating him a little but my opinion didn't change just because he is complaining.

Baker is a middle of the road TE, the Jets promised him nothing he is just frustrated at the contract he signed 2 years ago. My opinion, tough. I have no issue going to the year with Keller and franks at TE.

I don't know about all this (everyone knows what I think of the Jets) but Kerry Rhodes would look GREAT with either a Pats uniform or with three pitbulls on top of him.

Actually, it's pretty clear that Kendall was the victim of a broken promise. To make matters worse, not only did the Jets renege on that agreement, they ended up ruining their season over money they could have easily afforded to spend. The players in the organization have paid very close attention to these situations, and the Jets have not been winning over their players.

I was right there at Jets camp for the whole Kendall thing. At the time of the 07 draft Kendall went to tannenbaum and asked for a new deal and Tanny's response was that he thought his demands were reasonable. Supposedly mangini did not feel like giving him a pay hike and there never was an actual promise made. It did ruin our season but seriously im not letting guys like Chris Baker dictate what they should get payed. He is a JAG TE who all of a sudden wants a new deal after 2 yrs. All the guys who actually perform on sundays and warrant a contract have got there's already (Rhodes, Cotchery, and somewhat Coles).

The Jets lied, and it cost them their season. Kendall had taken a pay cut the year before and was just asking for the $1 million he'd been promised, and the Jets pulled "we don't renegotiate contracts" out of their ass. The Jets thought they could play hardball. They couldn't. The result was a lost season for the Jets and a playoff appearance, along with a raise, for Kendall.

When he took the pay cut they never promised to give it to him back. I know the team probably should have given to him the one million back since they had great cap space. However the fact is the Jets never promised him anything. Even Kendall would tell you that. He felt disrespected b/c he thought they did not have his best interest in heart. This is only one incident, the Jets never promised Baker or Kendall crap, if you want to say Coles then go ahead.

Best line of the whole video: "The Jets have their Antonio Gates in Dustin Keller if they want." I seriously lol'd when I heard this, what a ridiculous statement to make even if it somehow comes true.

I'm sorry, but you're just wrong.

Kendall said the Jets promised to increase his 2007 pay by $1 million, to $2.7 million, especially after he accepted a pay cut the year before. The Jets said they did not renegotiate existing contracts, even though they have in the past and did with Kendall when he took the pay cut.

The Jets agreed that Kendall played at his typical level in 2006. They also agreed he was underpaid, just not by $1 million.

Kendall said one thing Jets FO said another. Im pretty sure you will take the side of Kendall. I still dont agree that a mad Kendall and Chris Baker is a firm example that players dont like the Jets.

If you were a player would you want to play for the Jets? You don't even get to play in your own stadium. Getting drafted by the Jets is like getting the last cheeseburger at a BBQ, sure it's something, but it's burned and falling apart and smells like New Jersey.

New Stadium in 2 yrs, one of the best training facilities in the NFL nearly complete and your in NYC. I could say the same thing about the Pats before this decade, but at the end of the day its all about $

What is the new stadium gonna say on the front?

Here's what you wrote:

I showed you that you were wrong. I didn't need to take a side for that. I, frankly, don't care enough about the Jets to worry about this. I just find it amusing to watch a team's fans prostitute themselves for a franchise that's been an NFL disgrace for so long.

I dont know what the stadium will be called but it wont be called Giants Stadium b/c the Jets and Giants are going in 50/50 money wise. Money and a team with talent attracts players.
