Tom Brady: What is the weakest part of his game?

i say the deep ball, its the one and only area i would take manning over him on (and no, i dont mean eli)

I would've agreed a season ago, but after seeing him with a real deep threat in Moss, I'd take Brady's deep ball over Manning's without question.

We need to throw a ball to another speedy WR because it's hard to stop 2 speedy WRs.

Tom's major failing has been his last two losses - the AFC game against Indy and the Super Bowl loss. Both games, we were down 3 points and enough time to get into position for a field goal (didnt we have 3 time outs and 35 secs in the Super Bowl?)

We didn't have 3 TOs, and even if we did Tom would have to pull off the most spectacular comeback in SuperBowl (or even football) history. He is the best ever, but he is mortal too.

The Super Bowl can't be blamed on Tom, we needed three more offensive linemen to stop that pass rush or Tom needed to channel Mike Vick (his speed that is) to get away from the rush.

Is it difficult for you to chase and knock a guy down while he doesn't move around.?

The only problem with a fan like you is there no room for improvement for a perfect person such as BB and TB.

I'm not really sure what you are saying. Are you saying that I'm such a Homer that I don't see the flaws in Tom's game? Yea, Ok I'll admit there is some truth to that.

And I don't try and chase immobile guys around, so I can't answer your question.

3. A really messed up situation when he dumped the mother of his child while she was pregnant.

Umm . . . seeing as they broke up about nine months before she gave birth, I really don't think that's being fair to Brady.

I think he prefers to stay in shotgun rather than take snaps from center, as it has improved his passing game considerably. However, when he stays in the shotgun, D's can key on that - not so much if he has a lone setback and takes the snap from under center. Call that a weakness if you will.

Hopefully they'll run out of the shotgun a little bit more next year. They did it in the game against the Colts with delays and inside handoffs, but for some reason did not apply the same practice in the NYG game when the DL was teeing off on us.

His shoulder. For some reason, probably because he's a woos, he can't seem to get off the injury report. ;)

hold off on the attacks fellas, its a legitamitate qeustion..

Brady is the best there is, but hes not perfect

also, for those saying they like his deep ball....he had nice ones, in the SB, but how about the reg season games where Randy was badly under or overthrown?

He had 435/589 attempts come from the shotgun last year. It would be hard to top.

There's a reason the deep ball is a low percentage play.

Every quarterback makes errant throws at times and when you're playing in the northeast you're not going to be able to connect on every forty yard pass - and at the same time, some overthrows may be a result of Moss (or another receiver) not getting to the proper spot for any number of reasons. The deep ball is a tough throw to make for any quarterback because of all the other factors; sure Brady can improve on it but the leading team with 40+ yard passing plays only had 17 for the whole season (the Pats were second with 15).

He doesn't have the arm of Drew Bledsoe but Brady is more than capable of making every throw. The weakest part of his game is mobility outside of the pocket.

LOL Brady led the league in passing yards, completion percentage, TD's

Moss was second in the league in receiving yards, led the league in TD's, averaged almost a yard more per catch than Manning's #1 WR.

Some of you watch this game in an alternate universe. Sometimes receivers aren't where they were supposed to be. And generally speaking it takes time for a QB and WR to built a rapore. Took Brady and Moss a week or so, which was pretty damn good considering Randy hardly practiced in the pre season after tweeking a hammie. Remember, Tomase said he was rumored to be cut...

He can't run a 4.4 40 yard dash.

Wait, so you mean just because you can complete 95% of your deep balls on video games means it doesn't happen like that in real life?

That depends on how you define "improved". IIRC, at least by passer rating (yeah, it's a flawed statistic, but it's not entirely useless), he was awesome in the shotgun, even more awesome under center, and even awesomer doing play action. :)

I think it was the comparison to the '72 Dolphins some folk must think we were the '07 Dolphins.

What are the flaws of our QB? (2 time SB MVP)
Is status quo on offense acceptible? (record setting)
Are we undermanned a WR? (only have two of the top 8 WR in the league)

We lost ONE game all season. The team needs a bit of tweaking at linebacker (check) a punter that can kick the ball more than 8 yards (check) and a replacement for our one serious player loss, Asante (TBD).

Brady is the greatest footballer player the greatest coach in recent NFL history has ever coached. But ...

His play in the rain and wind/rain.

No qb likes a wet ball and a slippy surface but TB's drop-off has been very noticeable. It goes back to 2002 (who remembers the "glove-no glove" controversy?) but was still there last season (and in the Monsoon Bowl against the Jets in 2006, when he was clearly out-passed by Pennington).

I think, for sure, it is his mobility out of the pocket. He moves great in the pocket, and avoids flailing arms, and such, but when he has to scramble.... ehhh I'm just glad that, besides the super bowl, our O-Line gives him tons of time to let the plays develop, and then he is insanely deadly.
