He is hands down the best 2-gap NT prospect in the draft. The only problem is that he will probably go too high for the Patriots, as they're unlikely to spend such a high pick on a back-up.

Yes, he is hands down the best. Have him on my list of surprise picks for the Pats. Why a surprise? Most of us would like a later day pick to serve as backup to Wilfork. But knowing Belichick, when all of us are cheering for that CB or OLB/DE at the end of round two, he might add strength to the strength of the defense -- the DL. Bryant represents extreme value...and value is how BB drafts.
