I will admit it, I live and die with the Pats. I am nervous in good times and bad. But I never give up on the team, I never get angry at them, and I always love them.

Where did all the idiots and a-holes who have started posting here come from? I don't remember it ever being this bad. This used to be a great site, far better than most, the place a person could come for some good info (and occasional scrape, when necessary). But now, the majority of what I see here is utter CRAP: it reads like the uninformed, kneejerk reactions of dumdums and preteens. And it's giving us all a bad name. To wit: Bench Tom Brady. BB is an idiot. Pioli doesn't know what he's doing. The Patriots are done. And on and on and on. Don't get me wrong, I think criticism is legit., but many posts by members of this new doofus crew have had zero substance. This would be ok if these posters had at least *some* style, or flair, or insight or something funny to say, but most posts are just semi-illiterate raving.

Haven't read the thread and really don't care too, but I agree with this completely. I joined many years ago when this was a football talk site with fewers post, but of high quality and football talk. Now its garbage thread after garbage thread, with little insite or intelligence. If I can find a Patfans site like what this one used to be I would be there in a second. We need a Sons of Steve Grogan site lol.

I have only joined recently but have been a Pats fan since 1985/86. I am always amazed when people go at Belichick and Brady while not beyond criticism they must surely have their complete body of work taken into account. If these 2 were in Green Bay they would have streets named after them already.

As stated in that first post on this thread from September 2006 most people who loose their minds are glory supporters who don't like losing, no one does but a true fan takes the rough with the smooth as the lows make the highs all that much better, take Super Bowl XXXVI.

I'm anxious about Moss but was also anxious about signing him in the first place, so I can understand the Patriots wanting to pay but not overpay. I've posted about being gutted to lose him as I've seen what he does for the offense, but ultimately the most important parts that will always make this team competitive are Belichick and Brady and I will still follow that Pats when these two have retired and the Pats with inevitability will have a true down turn.

I am so shocked by all the dumb threads too. we have a great FO which has spend up to the cap every year. from the threads it seems we are a team which does not spend money at all .

i remember when deion left and every one was up in arms then we sign dan koppan with the money which i thought was a better value. some not so good center just signed a 50 million huge contract yesterday. if dan had not signed he would have been the stud young center in FA which could not afford now.

i am happy we are clearing space as i think vince is key our success and he is a FA in 09. i want him signed. if we do not sign our own draft picks then i think the end is here.
