Tom Petty Half-Time Show

I thought it stunk. My sig other turned to 60 Minutes during the show and I didn't even care. Had no energy. Alicia Keys pre-game was much better. So was National Anthem. Petty looks like something the cat dragged in.

IMO though the 9/11 tribute with U2 in Superbowl XXXVI was the best. Yes we won that game, but still, it was hands down the best.

I like Tom Petty (or at least the songs that he performed). I'm more interested in hearing good music than having lots of flashing lights and "entertainment."

Petty is great, although he moved like an old man on stage, or like he had hurt his back or something. His other guitarist was his usual excellent self, though. I thought American Girl was the best number --- wish it went longer.

Still the best halftime show in my book was Shania Twain/No Doubt/Gwen Stefani with Sting.

Liked it a lot. I wish they had done at least 1 song from "Damn the Torpedoes" instead of 3 from "Full Moon Fever".. But I liked it nonetheless.
He's looking a little rough though, wow.

I though it was good, brought back memories. All things considered, I don't think he looked any homelier than he did in his hey days.

I'm a huge fan, so I thoroughly enjoyed it (may be attributed to my age, 43). I thought he actually looked pretty good for his age, the bummer for him is that he looked the same 20 years ago, so he's kind of grown into his looks.

"Free Falling" is a good song, just not at Halftime of the SB. A little too slow for the moment.
