Michael Holley: Rams Walkthrough was not Taped

I'm not so sure this issue is over just yet. Specter could subpoena Walsh for testimony if this builds up steam.

"So Mr. Belichick, what do you think about this tape I received from Mr. Walsh?"

"Haven't seen it."

"Did you tell him to tape <insert situation here>?"

"No."

"Why would he tape <insert situation here> without your direction and knowledge?"

"You would have to ask him."

"I did ask him and he said you told him to tape <insert situation here>."

<...silence...>

"Don't you have anything to say?"

"Did you ask me a question?"

"Did you instruct Mr. Walsh to tape <insert situation here>?"

"I believe I answered that question."

<...resulting language causes ESPN to cut to commercial...>

Michael Holley just said on WEEI that he has multiple sources that the rumor the Rams' walkthrough was taped is absolutely wrong. He said there is nothing to the rumor and Matt Walsh has nothing that he will be able to provide Goodell or Specter.

MF. That's all I gotta say, so all this shyt was one big distraction. I hope Tomase gets canned.

This is great news. I hope all this cheater talk will go away for good.

How can we believe the media at all? There is a tape. There is no tape. Who the hell knows.

Sworn testimony is the only way to make this issue go away for good.

You mean like with Raphael Palmiero?

Again. If the guy had a tape, don't you think that it would have been on every network by now? Why would he hold it back. He would have made MONEY off that tape.

The minute the Patriots made that statement, I started to doubt that Herald story. The Patriots Never make statements like that if there is any truth to it.

Never say never. When a team becomes predictable like that you can expect them to switch things up a bit to keep people guessing.

I think if Walsh does possess a tape, it was a copy that he made without the Patriots' knowledge. I'll also bet a signed a 'confidentiality' agreement to not disclose company matters/policies to anyone outside the organization. Walsh may be afraid to speak(if he knows anything) because he'll get his ass sued off and will be blacklisted from ever working in professional sports again.

You're not a Pats fan. Thanks for outing yourself so I can ignore you.

Who are you, Walsh's best buddy?

What ever happened to defamation or libel in the media????? It seems to me that a result of INTERNET, immediate news these days, is reporting without corroboration.

Lets see who should I believe? Holley, someone whose worked close to the team for a little while writing his book and who has multiple sources telling him the same thing, or Walsh and Tomase, one whose reputation is a piece of **** and the other who put up something which sparked a rehashing of a controversy that had already spun out of control earlier in the year all because of one unidentified source....hmmmmm thats difficult....

Yeah Id say once again the Pats were subject to a media witchunt...i swear next season i will watch no media until after the superbowl!

I also wonder if Eric Mangini will be able to get a job once he gets canned from the Jets.

first of all, let's get one thing straight. it's just been reported "THERE IS NO TAPE". secondly, that's why most companies have employees sign confidentiality reports.

Yeah, just like that...

I had a feeling from the moment this started that the Rams sore loser state of denial mentality following XXXVI was at the root of it. Guys will literally make up scenarios to rationalize what happened to them on almost any team not coached by a guy like BB who won't tolerate that crap. Eventually they become urban legend.

I also surmised that Walsh probably told some tales to people in or around his golf circle as a means to elevate his profile when spygate initially broke, and one of them dropped a dime on a mediot at ESPN who tried to ferret him out. Everyone at ESPN who heard and spread the rumor of his mere existence thereafter just fed his little attention grabbing lie since it gave them the merest shred of potential to hanf onto to persist in pushing the what else did they do mantra.

At the end of the day all any of this has ever been is a means to disparage or destroy the career of a man who either beats them or won't talk to them. The costing jobs rationale is about as pathetic a one as you will ever hear, and yet that is at the root of all of this. Somehow all these people who lost jobs did so not because they deserved to because they screwed up and sucked and failed miserably, but because BB engineered their demise. How dare he win at their expense...

There are now at least several people who deserve to lose their careers over spygate, and Bill isn't even one of them.

I will wait to see this in print before I start celebrating.

I think Matt Walsh would never been know if it wasn't for the NY Times. ESPN had been talking to this guy for a while, but didn't run their story because Walsh has given them nothing other than vague admissions he has something that he won't reveal unless he gets people to cover his legal expenses. The NY Times' shoddy journalism of posting quotes about him having dirt on the Pats yet doesn't reveal the dirt or provide any evidence to support this dirt forced ESPN to run their story. How can a legitimate news source provide inflamatory quotes from someone without any confirmation that they are true or even what they are?

I agree with others. If there was really a tape, it would be out. Someone would have paid Walsh for the tape and cite him as an unnamed source to protect him from legal actions.

Also, see, I registered in 2005, not yesterday. If I were registering today, I'd probably use a slash.

Funny you should say that. You're the one with an asterisk in your name. I think the same thing of you.

Bella*chick has been her name here since February, 2005.

Do you have any MORE words of wisdom to impart upon us?

Take your witch hunt elsewhere. Quit attacking your fellow patriots fans.
I don't believe a fan would recycle Michael Fish's article as gospel truth.
Or go on about how our former playoff opponents would be soooooo pissed if the story were true.

You have negative two posts. Stick around for more than a day, then we'll see.

will we get a apolagy now that the accusers were wrong ?

probaly not

It's been 316 years since we had a witch hunt in Massachusetts.

Arlen Spector and enemies of Bill Belichick are trying to resurrect the

old witch trials. They would like nothing better than to fasten Bill to a

ducking stool.

If there was a tape in his posession the Pats could sue him for stolen property.

He'll be broke and friendless even in Hawaii. Bostonians are everywhere. I am sure he runs into them all the time playing golf in Hawaii. He will forever catch flack.
