Didn't say why, but unless we have a need elsewhere for depth due to injury, it works for me. Anyone notice we had several kick returners vs. SD - Bill seems to want to lighten the load for Hobbs and Welker down the stretch, and there is no way he plays CJ in this one given his inexperience and limited capacity. Troy still potentially covers 3 or 4 positions as at least a 2nd or 3rd string option.
Hobbs was #7 in the entire NFL returning kickoffs and you want to replace him with brown? Your letting your sentimental feelings get in the way of the patriot success. Do you still wish bledsoe was the QB of this team?I'd rather see him than Hobbs doing kickoff returns.
Troy's also played in a grand total of one game this year...and that was the Pats last regular season home game over a month ago. He won't be up to "game speed" even with an extra week of practice.
So who among the other 7 choices will be? How many of them have EVER played a snap in a Superbowl...
I bet he's active JIC this thing turns into a blowout. If it is, then I bet they try to get him the ball one last time.
Only if it's late in the 4th quarter and the Pats are up by 3 or 4 scores.
The last time he "touched" the ball it bounced off his facemask and the other team recovered the punt...just saying.

I'd rather see him than Hobbs doing kickoff returns. Plus, I *do* believe in good karma, and having Troy Brown on the field in a big game gives it!
