Jags disrespect the Patriots

And tell us again why the Jets did NOT break it.

seriously? for the 4th time this thread you want me to post why?

no, I'm done with telling you why. the fact that you don't trust the NFL is...whatever...not my concern.

BTW...you're not a Patriots fan so stop lying.

I love the fact that Pats fans aren't allowed to criticize their own team

which kind of pom-poms do you like best?

it doesn't really matter. the rule was crystal clear, re-emphasized by the NFL, and we broke it.

actually it isn't crystal clear. If the Jets claimed they had permission, maybe BB thought he had unspoken permission too, considering Mangini had been complicit in taping while with the Pats. The Pats claimed that they never gave the Jets permission either but that's hearsay. So where are these "crystal clear rules?" does the permission have to be written permission? If not, what's to stop a team from taping wherever they want, then getting caught and saying, "we had permission." Apparently there is no burden of proof to prove you were given permission to tape.

Wow guys.

You're all digging into something that has been there all season, since the whole Patriotgate, Spygate...whatever you wanna call it... scandal came out.

Why are you all digging for bulletin board material?? I don't understand it. The freaking media is doing it too. Hyping up **** that was out there 14 weeks ago, with the * next to Vic's (a Steeler fan, by the way) power rankings, and the Paul Spicer comments, made in week 3.

Anyways, thats my opinions. I don't care one way or the other. I hate the Jets, and their fans, almost more then I hate the Titans and their fans. I just gotta stick up for my team.

Anyways, I'm a Jag fan from the great state of Washington. I'm a huge Red Sox fan since I was born, so I'll be around for awhile. :)

lol, awesome. next time you tell someone you are going to give them facts, just include facts, not your opinion

You "claim" you've circled us with logical arguments, yet you've never answered logical questions:

If you feel the Patriots gained a competitive advantage, give us one (1) example of what it was.

If the rule is as you have quoted it here, why did the Patiots violate it while the Jets did not when both teams clearly violated the rule as YOU quoted it here? You are not allowed to use NFL statements made AFTER the fact...we both know that's BS.

Seeing that the Jags are a classless franchise in a hillybilly city that can't even sell out games when their team is one of the better ones in the league, this doesn't surprise me.

If they were hosting the game, there would be asterisks on the scoreboard, and hell even on the tarps they would use to cover all the empty seats.

You're just deliberately arguing against the Pats to be a contrarian who "rises above the lowly homers." I'm no homer, I'll readily criticize, but you don't seem to want to put this into perspective, but make sure everyone knows that when it comes to the Pats, your just to smart to be a homer and thus will take every position you can against them right or wrong. That's just as stupid as blindly supporting everything about them.

ok now you must be being obtuse on purpose. this is my last post here, b/c facts aren't good enough for some of you, and you are incapable of logic.

very simply:

LONG STANDING NFL POLICY STATES THAT TAPING FROM THE ENDZONES IS OK WHEN THE HOME TEAM GIVES PERMISSION. SO THE JETS THOUGHT THEY WERE OK.

THIS PERMISSION IS NEVER ASKED FOR NOR GIVEN WHEN TAPING FROM THE SIDELINES BC THE NFL PROACTIVELY SAID THAT THAT WAS ILLEGAL IN THE SEPTEMBER, 2006 MEMO

good night, and good luck

of COACHING SIGNALS!

Nope, you're wrong again. Which begs the question: are you ever right?

First off the source you're quoting does not come from any manual whatsoever.

Second, you can't seem to read your own quote, or you are reading selectively because you are a fundamentally dishonest person.

Here's what it says: including but not limited to taping of an opponent's offensive or defensive signals

BUT NOT LIMITED TO...

You have a dictionary nearby, I take it, and if you've learned how to use it since last night, I suggest you look up each of those words.

The only answer you've given is that the Jets had permission. We established that is not in this "Crystal clear" rule, so we BOTH know the permission answer is moot. It's NOT part of the rule....It's Crystal Clear...Crystal:cool:

lol, good job making stuff up again. the Jets did NOT admit to taping coaching signals.

They admitted to taping. That's what the rule is about. No taping.

Do you have difficulty reading?

Wow. is that the best you can come up with? That's so last season. Try using a little creativity twink.

it's not my hole man, I'm just saying what the NFL states. I don't think they have made an official statement re: the overhead roof, but I would think that since it's longstanding policy that teams can ask/receive permission to tape from the end zones, that makes it ok.

You keep digging yourself a bigger hole. If all anyone needs to do when they're caught taping is to say, "Hey I have permission," then no one would ever get caught breaking these rules.

Please...Please for the love of all that is holy:

Let It Go!!!

Jeez!

A colts fan on a Patriots MB?? What happened?? Too twinky to be on your Colt's boards??

I gotta ask......you say classless franchise, then one of the best teams in the same sentence. Care to clarify??

Classless fans?? Probably. Everyone has them. For the most part, a true fan is a fan of the NFL, and has that deep hatred for the teams opposite of theirs, but they respect the play. I hate the Colt's, but damn, they are good. There's quite a few cool Colt fans I know, and one or two ********s. STory of being a fan.

Anyways, the Superbowl Champs gotta go through the AFC South this year....that's pride enough.

No it doesn't. If the NFL has a written rule, then it is gospel without exception. They can't say "even though it's not in the rules, it's OK if a team gives permission" that would make the NFL a laughingstock of epic proportions...wouldn't it?

Especially if there's no proof of permission given.

MWH is an average intellegence guy who wants to be viewed as above average. He has an average job (or is unemployed/retired) and he's trying to make up for deep-seeded insecurities that have hounded him throughout his life. He was probably over-looked several times for promotions that HE knew he deserved.

it's not my idiocy. in fact that is EXACTLY what the NFL HAS SAID:

"there are no restrictions on shooting from both upper end zone positions as long as the opportunity is provided to both teams."

You have completely muddled things here.

Everyone here is claiming the NFL is hypocritical and idiotic. And what do you do in your defense? Show us that the NFL is hypocritical and idiotic.

The NFL has an actual rule AGAINST filming in the end zones. It's in the manual. It's the same exact rule that prohibits filming on the sidelines. IN FACT, the word sidelines comes just before a listing of the other places that you can't film from.

We're arguing here that because the NFL does not restrict filming from other points in the stadium (from which you can steal coaching signals) that the NFL doesn't give a damn about stealing coaching signals.

Why are you so thickheaded. Proving to us that the NFL is hypocritical only supports the point we're making.

Just so I have this right. Pats fans are fighting with Pats fans, Dr. AssTrout is touting the high morals of the friggin Jets, Colts fans are fighting with Jags fans over whose fanbase sucks more, and this all started because some no name writer in Jacksonville thinks he's cute and original?

Have we all figured out who's pee pee is bigger yet boys? Eleventy billion words and threads over CAMERA PLACEMENT!!!! Where the hell is a Charger fan to tell us to be classy when you need one?

Are you too twinky to be on your own team's MB? You are here as well after all, you hypocrite hilljack.

The Jags are a good football team, I'll give them that, but they're also one of the dirtiest teams in the league. In a game like football these two qualities aren't mutually exclusive, but I tend to not respect the dirty teams like the Jagoffs and the Tacks. I hate the Patriots, but at least they play us fair and don't make an effort to hurt our players.
