Funny just as I read this, the Big Show guys just reported this and are making him look like an idiot.

Cowboys #5? Steelers #1? LMFAO

The ESPN "experts" (and I use that term as loosely as possible) are going to explain why the Steelers are better than the Pats. I can't WAIT to hear this.
This is why I hate polling in college football... people are morons and whenever a dominant team takes a week off, those aforementioned morons forget that they exist.

he does this just to entertain conversation and debate. this is ESPN's way of generating more viewership. Last week he had the colts # 1 after they lost to the pats. iam not sure he believes it either. its their show producers who seem to force such things.

I like the Packers more than most and think they'll take it to the Cowboys when they meet. Steelers are overrated, and the Colts are playing like trash right NOW, which is the most important piece to the power rankings.

Did they just say that Vinatieri hadn't missed two field goals in a game since 2001? Did anyone else hear that?

No idea how Hoge has a job. The guy is a complete freaking moron. holy crap. Just unreal how he has the Steelers #1. What a freaking tool.

lucky we dont play arizona this year !

At least Shlereth made sense.

and they were all speaking about the refs !! anyone mention refs last week?
jealous anyone?

I didn't, but it wouldn't surprise me if they said, given how little regard for accuracy they have at ESPN.

Super Bowl XXXVIII in February of '04 springs immediately to mind as a multiple miss game for Vinatieri.

schlerth? maybe in the rankings..but not in what he has said so far. they are even complaining about the missed first down being reviewed !!

The second one was blocked, maybe they're making a distinction there.

Hoge drew the short straw and has to be contrarian to popular beliefs to spur dialogue......Or he was picked to play the village idiot because he is one.....

Now Merril is talking about how Ben should be right up there with Brady for best QB in the league. My god..

I'm not sure which of these two rankings is more idiotic.

Cowboys and Packers are NOT better than the Colts.

The correct ranking is:

1. Patriots
2. Colts
3. Cowboys
4. Steelers
5. Packers

FWIW, the producers at the four letter network actively encourage their on-air hosts to make wacky and controversial predictions. Case in point, John Kruk picked the Pirates to lead the NL Central by the end of this past May.

same case with the Easterbrook article. Espn trying to stay on top and keep up the Nielson ratings. Isn't November one of those months where they determine commercial pricings?

The Cowboys, Packers, and Steelers would waste the Colts right now.

You don't have to go all the back to '03 to find a game where Vandertieri missed two figgies. Last season he missed two against the patriots, and neither was blocked.

Yep. Hence Pats-Colts getting scheduled for November 4.

True, I forgot about the one in the 3rd qtr. The one in the 4th he missed would have made it 30-20, I was sure we were winning that game after he missed, too bad that one was of Bradys worst career games.
