is that Belichick/Pats will be more determined than ever to outshine the rest of the league and win.

I believe this without a doubt.

This present negative can turn around and be more productive than anyone could imagine.

The words "they don't respect us" now ring more true than ever!!!!

I agree 100%. This whole situation makes complancency basically impossible and it is a rallying call for the rest of the season and beyond. There is a big silver lining here.

Another siliver lining is that this should put to rest any POSSIBILITY of Belichick leaving anytime soon. He will be determined and RELENTLESS - more than ever - to show the league that the Patriots are worthy of the success they've had. Winning a bunch of additional Super Bowls should be a very tempting F you (not that he wasn't already driven that way anyhow), and a shot at redemption that this organization shouldn't have to achieve.

In any case, glad he'll be here awhile to make history.

There is NO way that he walks away from this after the season is over.

I have a feeling that this hubbub is will ignite Belichick's passion about winning more than ever...

I feel that Belichick has enough quotes around the league for life to get in the right mindset to win.

I mean, the quotes just get more absurd than the last!!!!

This will be fuel to the fire.
