I am a die-hard Pats' fan, but I don't give the players or coaches a pass just because they wear the colors.

Wait, so we're giving Belichick, Moss, Seymour, et al, a "pass" because we disagree that Moss is "dogging it?" Or that he'll be put on PUP? I love this. I love guys who come on here and make INSANE comments and then, in the face of disagreement, play the "you're being homers!" card b/c we have the temerity to point how assbackwards LUDICROUS his point is.

Give me a break. You want to criticize the Pats? Go for it. But make it something ACTUAL, and be a heckuva lot more careful with annoyingly misleading thread titles. YOU messed up. No big deal, but accept it and realize that if you're the one who F'd up, you don't get to be the one who gets mad.

I will admit, I don't really know every NFL rule about practice squads, PUP lists, salary caps, etc.

There are others who specialize in those areas.

So, if old Bones can't go on the PUP, I guess he gets cut then.

My roster receivers: Stallworth, Gaffney, Welker, Wahsington, Caldwell

Third, there has been nothing said that he was jogging when this happened. He may not go full out running laps but no-one said he was dogging it when playing - in fact it was said he was looking great the day it happened.

i enjoy wild speculation, as it can be fun. I commend the original poster for putting "Spec" in the title (though spelling it out would have worked too). the notion that Moss is refusing to practice is just idiotic, though (he'd already be gone were this the case). BB won't let him practice.

one last thought, why would Jackson be cut? Unlike Moss he's actually elligible for PUP.

I will admit though that if the Patriots were to get onry and cut Moss and let it be known it is because he dogged it what would that do for Randy's future football career.

Randy was on thin ice when he came here and I will grant you he so far has shown that everyone was right about him. And the Pats are his last stop for stardom. Because if he won't work here where will he work?

But so far he hasn't worn out his welcome (at least with the coaches)
He surely has with you.

Its been said already, but to reiterate

1.) Moss has practiced, he isn't eligible for the PUP

2.) Why cut Chad Jackson when he can just stay on PUP until healthy. Seriously, why? If you thought he was a complete bust (which I'm sure they don't feel that at this point), what is the harm in watching him practice/rehab for a few weeks? Hell at least it gives you a body. Is there ANY point to cutting him (hint: no)?

Everything you said is predicated on Moss "faking" his injury, for which there is zero basis right now. I take it you're not a professional athlete who's gone through a hamstring injury. Well, neither am I, but I did stay at a holiday in.

With that, I quote from Wikipedia:

As a general rule, grade one hamstring strains should be rested from sporting activity for about 3 weeks and grade two injuries for about 4 to 6 weeks. In the case of a complete rupture, the muscle will have to be repaired surgically and the rehabilitation afterwards will take about 3 months.

He refuses to practice or play.

We haven't seen hide nor hair of him in weeks.

So far he has missed, what, 3-4 weeks after pulling a hamstring while jogging half speed in the first week of camp?

I guess the "old Randy Moss" really is back. The one from the Raiders and his last couple of seasons with Minnesota.

I was hoping for a new & improved Randy Moss that would embrace the Patriot way and get with the program.

I mean if not the PUP list, I don't see how he even makes the team at this point.

Gaffney, Stallworth, Welker, Caldwell, Washington. Brown & Moss to PUP. Jackson gets cut.

Well, ADPF, your speculation is unfounded and shows a lack of knowledge on your part. Which is surprising.

1) Moss can NOT be pupped.
2) There is no reason to cut Jackson.
3) The Pats have been milking injuries all around. Maroney, Seymour, Jackson, Moss, Wilson. Just to name a few.
