How the hell did Josh Brown only get 1 game for domestic violence?

NFL's statement:

Why would any NFL wife cooperate with the dumbass that killed Ray rice 's career?

Basically Herr ****head sent a message to all NFL wives. If you cooperate we will end your husband's career and take away your and your children 's financial stability.

If he had handled the Rice case professionally Ray would have received a suspension + mandatory counseling.

But Rog thought he could cover it up for his buddy. He thought he could toss out a few lies that no one, including a judge, believed.

So I guess he got what he wanted. Women who are beaten by their NFL husbands won't cooperate for fear of losing everything and Roger won't have to do anything significant.

Now he can simply say, "She wouldn't cooperate ".

Great job putting the fault of insignificant punishment on the victim you f'ing tool.

way off topic...I don't know HOW you keep that guy as your profile picture. I would have puked myself into the hospital

That's exactly why. I like to think that every time someone scrolls past one of my posts, no matter how inane it is and no matter if they even read it or not, just seeing that picture makes them hate the guy a tiny bit more.

@Joker - Please clarify. Did you mean that as in me thinking he's not a moron or me thinking he may pick favorites from time to time?

well, if you think pathological lying going back to his high school days, lying about his college grades, claiming he's a lawyer, obfuscating the concussion issue deliberately by claiming "integrity of the game" to mask league culpability, telling local police in Maine they have to protect HIM and his property to the exclusion of all other citizens, publicly claiming ignorance of the Ray Rice incident as all media outlets air video proof to the contrary, whitewashing the dozens of Rex Ryan transgressions and ILLEGAL tampering by the Jets...if you think all this is a mark of a "cunning ,crafty manipulator"...well, I disagree with you....100% disagree. My opinion is he is and has always been a spoiled little Lord Fauntleroy rich kid , ginger MORON who has ascended up the ranks of NFL Offices through the exercise of the purest form of Peter Principle in United States history.

Always appreciate your thoughts on Rog. Can't believe no one has messed with him up in Maine. While I certainly wouldn't condone it, I've got to admit that it baffles me, nonetheless. He must have a summer home in a bunker tucked underground.

Love your theory but honestly... My hatred for the Fraudger cannot increase ... Its like the concept of absolute zero temperature-wise. It has reached its actual and theoretical limit.

@Joker - Well, you know what?

You know what!?

I just realized, why am I defending Roger Badwell? As a Patriots fan I have shamed #12. Forgive me Brady.

If this was Tom Brady, is it safe to assume NE Patriots would have to pay a fine, lose draft picks and Brady would be suspended games 1-4 in the 2017-2018 season? Plus, it'd get a ton of media attention.
He'd be executed.

This is a story of a family in crisis. There are children in this household. Josh Brown is now divorced from the mother of his children. It's a mess, and quite sad.

Giants' Josh Brown arrest: What are the domestic violence laws in Washington state

Charges were dropped five days after Brown's arrest by the Kings County, WA prosecutor due to lack of evidence in May 2015 following an investigation. Molly Brown described 20 incidents to police of abuse but none have been proven or are on tape. I'm convinced he acted inappropriately, and this family is broken.

But there's no real proof here for the NFL to be involved. The authorities in Kings County know this is a troubled family and that the woman and her children were potentially at risk. I don't know who filed for divorce, but the couple was separating to end the dynamic of whatever was going on here. This is a family matter that has the support of the local public safety officials and the couple's personal advisors.

The whole thing was kept quiet by the Giants and the NFL for over a year until the suspension was handed down. It was the NFL that drew national media attention to this and shined the light on a family in crisis, exacerbating the situation. Employers shouldn't do that.

I do not know what to think about this.

There is something arrogant and obnoxious about the NFL requesting that the victim and the police come before NFL officials and Goodell. The police reports are public record, but the police do not answer to employers of individuals who are not charged with a crime. The victim is a private person with n0 responsibility to her ex-husband's employer. The NFL has no sense of boundaries, and utter disregard of the need for evidence.

The NFL and the Giants should have respected this family's privacy and taken whatever steps needed to help Josh Brown not repeat whatever escalated in that home. To go public and cast aspersions on the Kings County Police, and on the victim, with that letter is repulsive. All we're left with is a bunch of assumptions because Goodell suspended a guy with no proof.

It did not take long for the consequences of the Appellate Court's upholding Article 46 to start ruining lives of women and children who never signed on to Roger Goodell's unfettered power.

God, I hope Roger gets fired soon, I am sick and tired of this joker. He is annoying me to the point that I am going to buy a voodoo doll!

Goodell is the NYFL owners' fall guy and it's working perfectly.

For those of you who will get this:

The problem for the NFL here, is that any victim of abuse by a NFL player would be stupid to talk to the league. Especially if she is a spouse, ex-spouse, and or baby momma, because any cooperation would lead to a suspension, which would lead to a loss of funds for spousal support!

Even if their was violence, it would not help the victim in any way to cooperate with the NFL. I'm positive the reason that Greg Hardy's victim refused to testify is that she was paid off, and Hardy would not have had the cash to do that, if she had cooperated. So the lessen here for the victims is to shut up and get paid.

Think about it, because of the way the NFL hands down these suspensions, they are actually enabling the abusers in the league, because they are basically forcing the victims to NOT cooperate with the Police or any NFL investigation, due to the loss of support that the victim that any suspension would create.

**** roger, the nflpa, and most importantly bob kraft.

I didn't read this entire thread but he wasn't charged with anything

Because there was no video. Not sure it's really a race thing, nobody cared about Suggs beating up his girl and holding a bottle of bleach over her and her one year old son.

No rules or laws for Ravens.

So weird how the NFL could go and make numerous requests for info and end up with nothing, yet this random guy made one request and got all the info the NFL said it couldn't.

It's almost like the NFL is full of **** and lying to the public again.

Didn't this same scenario play out with Ray Rice? The NFL said their investigators tried to get information from the police, but were unsuccessful. Then, someone in the media put in a request and received the info the NFL was looking for.

I don't believe in the league suspending players for things they do off the field. As long as their cleared with law enforcement/criminal justice system it's ok.

Now if individual team owners and GM's want to suspend or cut guys because they feel whatever act they did isn't tolerable for their particular organization that is a different thing
