OT: Will Smith DE Saints Shot and Killed Tonight! RIP.

A respected lawyer in miami recently did the same thing after a fender bender. Only difference is he didnt pull the trigger. Still, there is little doubt that his career is over after waving a gun in the face of the other driver and threatening to kill him. The funny thing is, if these guys ever were actually carjacked they would get blown away reaching for their gun.

The news is reporting that he was rear ended first, and exchanged words with the guy who hit him, who then pulled the gun and the trigger.

I assumed Smith was the one hitting the other guy, based on the photos in the article of a several years-old Chevy having been rear-ended by some high end luxury SUV - assumed Smith was the owner of the luxury vehicle. Also the fact that only the drivers side door of the Chevy is open, but both doors open on the SUV, leading me to believe the driver of the Chevy got out and attacked both passengers of the SUV, which required both of their doors to be opened for them to be taken into care.

Some time ago, back when my mom was sick, I was road-raged in a Wal Mart parking lot. Instead of throwing the pencil-thin man who assaulted me to the turf, I asked my assailant, "What kind of message are you intending to send your kids?" (His boy and girl were with him.) I'd be surprised if the shooter was in his right mind...something chemical that added fuel to the fire.

There has to be more than just RR. Drugs, unstable mental state, etc.

This was such terrible news to wake up to. I'm saddened by this, but I'm not surprised. I'm not shocked. This is way too common nowadays.

There are way too many idiots who own firearms and think a gun is an appropriate response to any stressful situation, and not a last-resort tool of defense. Or they think that killing someone is an adequate response for being "disrespected."

I have nothing against guns, but I have everything against giving guns to ****ing morons. And any 29-year old who thinks shooting a gun multiple times over a fender bender is still a child, or at least mentally ill or brain-damaged, and obviously shouldn't even have a driver's license, let alone a firearm.

The worst part is Smith won't be the last. There will be plenty more who die over trivial every-day ******** by people who can't cope with basic life. The people who commit these types of crimes would do the world a service by turning their guns into their own mouths and killing themselves, at least saving oxygen and valuable resources for the rest of society.

The shooter looks to be about 6'6, 300+ pounds, so he will most likely be a future welcomer, not welcome-ee.

Many of us live in urban areas, and those that do, see people drive every day you wonder are DUI, never grew up, have really bad tempers. Would not suprize me if it's 5% or so of the population.

All of us have had the urge to kill at some point or another. What separates men from Cardell Hayes is having enough control not to do it.

There's a story to go with the photos, which provides the actual info of what happened. All the reports have been consistent: Smith was hit first, propelling his car into the car in front of him, got out of his car, had a confrontation with the guy that hit him, and then was shot after getting back into his car.

And, as usual, with a few hours, the story gets more complicated and at the same time, understandable. Wow.

Ironically, Hayes sued the police department for shooting his father. The Chief of police during that incident was the same person Smith was having dinner with prior to the traffic accident.
