The Manning Brady debates only serve to boost both their legacies. Classy thing of him to do last week. Might have been even classier if he just said to the media that exchange was between he and BB and he and TB. But I digress. The best part of liking Manning is rooting against him. It's like the bad guy in a movie. Your rooting for the hero to win but the better the bad guy the better the movie. Thanks for ruining the Super Bowl for me...I think this is the final straw, and I might actually be rooting for Manning to go out on top. Screw the Brady-Manning rankings. Manning has had a brilliant career, and he represents the "old guard" of the league trying to stave off the new era.
EDIT: Seconds after posting this, I came to my senses. Go Panthers!
One thing I have always observed - Brady always says manning is one of the best to ever play, he has learnt so much from him etc etc. Manning hardly says anything other "I have a lot of respect for them" or "You guys know how i feel about him" etc etc. Not exactly publicly gracious. Yet Brady is the ahole somehow..I like Manning. This makes him go up in my book. The Manning Brady debates only serve to boost both their legacies. Classy thing of him to do last week. I would add he didnt want the attention to draw out the HGH allegations on him.Manning should go into politics. He tries to be everything to everybody while he and his camp do back room maneuvering. If he has such respect for Brady whey didn't he come out firmly and early and call defamegate the BS it was like Brady did for the HGH allegations?
A. He didn't want to piss of others in the league.
B. It fueled his hidden agenda of knocking Brady down a peg and thus elevating himself.
C. Schadenfreude
D. All of the above.

My personal animosity was the story around him. Until brady's 2007 season it was always can manning beat the pats. 2004 Divisional game i remember , people were wondering how pats will stop manning with backup CBs. There was no mention of brady as a opponent anywhere and if it was , it was with a caveat that brady has a defense. Even today I heard somewhere that this is the first time manning has a defense. They forget that his defense hasn't let him down as many times in the playoffs as his offense has.In truth there wasn't a lot to hate Manning for. The only animosity I ever felt toward him was when he would beat us, particularly in the playoffs. It would irk me that people would ball wash him and claim he was better than TB12 when it is simply not the case.
The rivalry is basically the only reason I have to dislike him for as a Patriots fan. He never said a bad word about anyone in our organization.
Yeah yeah I know, "he didn't stick up for Tom". Guess what? No other QB in the league did either. Some even cracked lame ass jokes at Brady's expense.

I have a distaste for Russell Wilson - especially given his post-game antics in last year's "luckiest sht I've ever seen in my life" NFC Championship victory.
Edit - the Rapistberger comment trumps my own opinion.
