Almost 1000 every season with a mediocre Bear O-line (like ours). 102 Catches in 2014 and 44 last season missing three games. At least he is a potential threat.Lamar Miller for five mill? Guy definitely isn't worth that.
I'm not calling for a low cost RB, i'm saying Ivory and Miller won't be anywhere close to reasonable options. I think they'll both get serious cash. I'm fine with them spending some money to upgrade, but i think both of those guys will have a bidding war on their hands from multiple teams.
You said " there is no way Lamar Miller will be a low cost option" so how else am I supposed to read that?
Low enough for the Pats standards. They simply don't place enough emphasis on RB to spend over a certain threshold.

Which are?
Well if you take a look at it historically, not much. Corey Dillon's base salary in 2004 and was $1.75 million with incentives that took it up to$3.3 million if all were hit. Similar in 2005. Granted this was 10 years ago, but he was one of the best backs of the era. They actually had him restructure his contract to take less money before they traded for him.
I can't see them paying more than $4mil base + incentives for a back, and that's on the high end. I think Ivory and Miller will both easily surpass that, hence my statements about them not being "low enough" for the Pats typical stingy standards at the position.
I am still waiting for Denver's check to come due...no way you can keep THAT many high profile, talented players on both sides of the ball. Anybody know when they enter cap-hell?
Josh Gordon is one incident away from being suspended indefinitely. No way the Pats bring him in..

He is 6'2" and 218. Seems to be an excellent Team Mate.
Had an MCL sprain to lose a few games. No surgery to the best of my knowledge. The Bears would have listened to trades at the deadline last year. They have a good young RB in Langford ready with over 500 yds part time and 6 TDs in 2015.

That was 12 years ago and Dillon was a top 5 RB at that time. I can't say with any authority what the Patriots will do but I do, know that every time someone claims they would never do something in the draft or free agency they pretty much blow that notion our of the water, and my understanding was that this thread was about what we want them to do and I want them to go get a good RB and 5 million is hardly too much to do that. I'm not talking pie in the sky crap about signing Adrian Peterson I'm simply talking about good RBs currently coming onto, the market. Any one of Forte, Ivory, Miller, or Anderson would be fine with me, and with Denver facing huge issues in free agency Anderson could definitely end up, on the open market.
Another player Id love to have, but I don't have much gauge on his value, or weather hell actually hit Free agency, is Ladarius Green. He would be such a big upgrade over chandler. However with Gates being 35 and having a 8 million dollar cap hit, and the fact that Green stepped in well for gates earlier in the season, makes it more likely that Gates will be the free agent. They could also use the Franchise tag on him.
He's really good on those seem routes. Hopefully he could take away from some of Gronks production in that area of the field. The area and route I cringe every time I see Gronk run.
Just read that if the Jesters don't reach an extension with Chris Ivory by March 9th that he becomes an UFA. Thoughts? WE need a RB and we could screw those pricks over for once on one of their own.I think they need to spend money at RB this year.
No more scrap heap cast offs... I want a guy like Christine Michael
Its called low money guarantees, and incentive based contracts. Oh lets not forget, his contract is voided when, and if he gets suspend for a year. So basically theres zero risk from a salary standpoint.
Josh Gordon is not a bad person. Do some research on his lifestyle changes before you automatically continue to hate him. You do this with all kinds of players. What are you, a criminal prosecutor, or one of those cops that thinks going over the speed limit by 2mph means you're guilty and deserve a ticket? Thats what it seems like!
