I say jets game.

Yea i think they'll save him for the division games at the end of the schedule.. but that Houston game is a conference game and is equally as important so if he can come back he needs to be back!

They might be worried about that bad field in Houston as wel. Wasn't it there where Welker suffered the knee injury before the playoff game?

We won't see Gronk till the playoffs. Book it.

So his first game back will be Wild Card weekend. No way the Pats get a bye without Gronk at this rate.

I wonder if there will be a joint press release with the Pats and the Gronkowski family to announce his return.

That is a load of crap gronk is a baller and if he is out then it must be for good reason.

I am sorry, but I think he is listening to his father. I don't think he will miss this week because of Dad and probably because of his injury isn't healed, but I can almost guarantee you his father is pressuring him to wait until the post season to come back. And unfortunately his father has far too much control of his son. Why else do you think the Patriots and the Gronkowski family are issuing press releases.

They actually fixed the field in Houston recently.

If Gronk won't play well finish 10-6.

Field was replaced with FieldTurf (like what's in Gillette) earlier this season.

I think the Pats will be at least 12-4 without Gronk, but that won't be enough to get a bye. The Broncos have the tie breaker. I think Cincy does too depending on their losses. I think the Pats beat Tennessee and Miami in their current state, but I don't know if they can beat Houston or the Jets.

Remember -- NE is a in-the-hands-of-the-defender dropped INT away from being 1-3 in the past four games.

For all the, it could cause more injury, look at dola coming back. All the seasons Brady has played injured he could have made the injury worse. You don't wait until your 100%. You play if you can.

Yeah, but they could have been 4-0 in these last four games if not for the refs being biased in Denver or a couple stupid decisions yesterday. It goes both ways.

The real elephant in the room is if it's time to start an evaluation process.

If he isn't back, that means 4 of 5 years he's not effectively available for the playoffs. What good is a superstar that can't go in the post season?

I wonder if this debacle might start that process going.

As I said in another thread, there is a difference between being healed and being 100%. I point to Edelman when he comes back. His bone will be healed, but because of the trauma to ligaments and muscles he had between the injury and surgery. He won't be 100% until long after the season.

Gronk made it pretty clear in his video that he is not coming back until he is 100%. If he is talking literally, he will be out much longer than he has to be.

If Gronk comes back if the bone is healed, but he is at 80-90%, I don't think you really need to make an evaluation process. He is worth the money to keep even with injuries.

If our fears are that his father is going to make him sit out until he is 100% are true, then the Pats have to start to consider seeing what they can get in a trade. Gronk is a grown man and if he is letting his father be that father on the Pop Warner field telling the coach how to coach his son, then they should consider cutting bait if they can get good trade value.

I'm not a sky is falling type of guy, but without Gronk this team is a far inferior team. McDaniels and Brady gets stupid without him and Edelman and decide the Pats are the Steelers with a stretch offense hucking the ball down the field 40 yards 8-10 times a game.

I still think the Pats get the #3 seed without Gronk, but they are in for at least 1-2 losses before the end of the season if we don't see Gronk until the playoffs.

I believe the team does need to evaluate making the team less dependent on Gronk. When Edleman is on the field it will easier. Remember Gronk has been in the league 5 completed seasons and for 4 of those years a "Gronkless" team won the Super Bowl. Having The Gronk is not a requirement to winning the Super Bowl. 48 of them have been won without him so far.

I believe we have seen the last of Gronk this season,

I don't think so. But it would be pretty ******** if Wild Card OR Divisional weekend rolls around and Edelman suits up but Gronk doesn't.

I don't think that will be case.
