theScore - Report: Peyton Manning has torn plantar fascia in right foot

Why do everyone feel the need to make excuses for manning ? Yes it hurts to play but some of those INTs yesterday were just bad decisions. Even manning said it but the media will jump over hoops to cover him. Never get that.

He got thrown out the door because Elway desperately wanted to bring in his buddy Kubiak. I mean what coach gets fired that has had their team in the playoffs every year he's been there? Friggen guy got them to the playoffs with Tim Tebow.

He wants revenge.
And last nite Marshall Faulk says, every QB kubiak coaches leads the league in interceptions. Puts everything on kubiak but says I didnt say so. Manning supporters are ridiculous.

Sad he's going out this way. I've enjoyed the losing but, it's tough to see even you're greatest enemy go down like this. Hope Brady doesn't stick around playing that badly.
My thoughts exactly. Brady wants to play for a long time but I hope he goes out on top and not play for 5 teams until no one wants him like jerry rice.

My mom had plantar faschitis. She is an avid exerciser, not overweight, but she was over 60. It was definitely a nagging thing and took FOREVER to go away.
I had plantar fasciitis in both feet. It took months to heal and was very painful It definitely must affect the way he plants his feet. Nice for him to have yet another excuse though...

I hope he plays through it. I want him for the beatdown in 2 weeks.
Have to admit I was hoping to see him play his last game against the Patriots. Hopefully he heals fast.

Whats the NFL record for INTs in a season? maybe he can add another one to the books,

Said on another forum after he got benched that now he has another pointless record wait for him to go on IR because he got what he came out to do this season. Looks like there's a chance that could actually happen, unbelievable.

Looks like manning will be sitting out for awhile. Osweiler era to begin. Damn i wanted manning

Could be wrong but, I don't see Fox as a guy out for revenge. Seems too passive.
Then just look at how the Bears have played the last two weeks compared to Denver. They are looking much improved.

I think choker knew he was done and just wanted to play to break the record. Sanders got a concussion because a duck he threw.

Faulk is an idiot. Thats not really true with Kubiak. His offenses have made average QBs pretty successful.

Final days of Elway- good
Bubby Brister -best year of his career
Brian Griese- good 2000. Very average everything else. Dumb QB.
Jake Plummer -(had 20INTs one year but from 2003-2005 was pretty careful with the football)
David Carr- had his highest comp % and most attempts under Kubiak
Schaub- Had some good years. Reasonable INT rate
Fling it Flacco- Best year in 2014
2015 Manning....more on PM than Kubiak.

If he was so injured, he probably shouldn't have played at all yesterday. He hurt the team by being on the field, obviously... but hey, records before team, as always. Might as well be his slogan.

If I was a Broncos fan, I'd be pretty pissed at how yesterday went down in light of this report. And not because they lost.

As we don't get college football over here, what are the thoughts on Osweiler? Was he seen as a gem coming through?
Osweiler only started one season at Arizona State, but showed enough (threw for over 4,000 yards) to get drafted in the second round after his junior season. Perhaps some of the very knowledgeable Draft Forum members can add some insight.

I think Manning will insist on playing one more game, because he also wants to break the record for most wins by a starting quarterback. Expect Peyton to be the starter in week 17 versus 2-win San Diego.

I could see the Broncos beating us with Osweiler. The formula to beat them was quick passes. Not having Edelman and Lewis going to hurt against them more than any other team. Fortunately, I think even a loss in Denver will not make much difference in the final seeding.

Cheers boss...I have to admit I am clueless on him as you can hardly make a judgement on a few plays...

Osweiler won't beat a Belichick defense in only his second start. Especially with Sheard getting healthier by then and Collins likely returning.

IDK anything about Osweiler. Too bad. We might not get another Brady vs Manning game ever again.

2 weeks ago it was shaping up to be a tough game between perhaps 2 undefeated teams. Things change fast in this league.

Clearly something was wrong last night more than just his usual arm problems.

I thought it was a rib problem? And those neck surgeries are not typically permanent fixes if one is going to throw a football continuously; don't make one brand new. Personally, I'm surprised he's played as well as he has, but I was, in fact, anticipating a breakdown before the end of the season- no kidding. (Note: I said "anticipating" and not "hoping.")
