We got stuck with an early bye this year, which happens. I hate Thursday Night Football, but we probably do it as well as anyone, putting in two opposite game plans this time and making them work, so we end up with grapolo [I'm going with that] and not too much stress.
Which leaves a weekend off and fresh players to work on something new, a minibye.
Out the other end we have Sheard and Stork working their way back in, with lines that were strengthened in their absence by new players/players rising to the occasion.
New additions who've shown something, or haven't had a shot, much in Hicks and Melvin and extra work for Coleman and all CBs, I imagine.
Additions at CB or OT? Is Causell working hard on the practice squad? Areas that could use depth. We're guard heavy now, but a competent LT backup is different.
I hope Brandon LaFell is putting in some overtime with Juggs or a QB.
1st "half" achievement awards...Alan Branch as the Hulk [you wouldn't like me when I'm angry] David Andrews as "the Natural" and Dion Lewis as the roadrunner [there he is, oh wait...beep beep.
Of course you run out of superlatives for Brady, who's Captain America, Braveheart and Superman, with a Batmanian chip on his shoulder, with trusty sidekick Edelperson [Robin? lol]...and Gronk is Gronk. Really can't be better than that.
I wanna see for part two, Melvin worked in, with hi 6 2 frame, and he's pretty athletic. Add Sheard to our 5 man DT rotation with Nink and Chandler and I think we're just about maxed out.
C-G will be interesting if there's health and we might need to cut/ps someone.
Additions at CB/OT still stand, but maybe not if Melvin works out and cannon's healthy [still don't like Cannon as the only LT backup with Solder gone].
Thoughts about before/after break?
