I certainly dislike the Ravens for their whinyness, bogus refereeing complaints, and their general excuse-making attitude. Suggs and Harbaugh are especially bad.
Their connection to the deflategate sting is a LOT less clear, though.
What we know: The Ravens warned the Colts about funny business that they thought was going on with the kicking balls, which was probably TRUE: An NFL official was removing kicking balls from games to sell them. At least, he did it in the AFCCG and he probably did it in the division game too. So the Ravens noticed something going on that was in fact real, but they were wrong to assume that the Patriots had anything to do with it.
Before the AFCCG the Colts equipment guy then relayed the Ravens complaints about the kicking balls and added his own accusations about ball pressure, without saying where that second complaint even came from. Sure, it might have come from Baltimore and the colder weather division game. But... it may also have come from an Indy-NE game in Foxboro in the past, some cold-weather game where the Colts illegally gauged a ball on the sideline (like they did in the AFCCG) while being ignorant of pressure/temperature effects. It stoked their paranoia and they bundled it with the Ravens complaint.
