It's not nonsense, it just me reacting to posters telling me how horrible the Bills have been at finding QBs when your sure fire first ballot QB went 199.
Bledsoe didn't go 199, and Brady went 199, but he went 199 because the Patriots scouted him and wanted him.
Maybe I'm thin skinned, but this nonsense about how the Bills stink at finding a QB while the NE narrative is they knew what they were doing at pick 199 is disingenuous at best and specious at worst.
No..... It's the reality of **** Rehbein, may he R.I.P., who championed the drafting of Brady. And, then, it's the reality of Bill Belichick, who kept Brady on, even though it meant carrying 4 quarterbacks.
The Bills have tried, they have failed. Hopefully they keep trying. And as I said originally, if Taylor can be Dalton level, the Bills will be good. No need to bring past failures at finding a QB to posit that Taylor will suck. He may. But the past choices at QB by Bills management have nothing to do with Taylor now.
Of course they do. They serve as an historical indicator. Taylor may become the exception, finally (he won't), but the past always leads to the present and often foreshadows the future.
