"Someday - and that day may never come - I'll call upon you to do a service for me. But until that day, accept this justice as gift on my daughter's wedding day."So what did we own GB a favor for? Or what favor are they going to do for us??
With the new practice squad rules, Kline is indeed eligible for the practice squad.
The new rules not only bumped the practice squad up from eight to ten players, but also loosened eligibility requirements. Two of those ten spots can now go to players that have no more than two accrued seasons.
An accrued season is considered to be one in which the player is active for at least six regular season games. Kline played in seven games in 2013, and was inactive for only four games last year. So yes, he could indeed be a candidate for the practice squad.
I wonder if Connolly would want to return to Foxboro. He might figure that if he's going to go through all that effort, then he would be better off signing with a team where he had a better chance of surviving cuts and making the club's week one roster.
BB is on to the next draft pick.I still don't get the tiny compensation from Green Bay. This has to be the worse trade down--way down, in the history of the draft. Very weird. Why isn't it explained.
Poof! There goes CB Bobby McCain to the Dolphins. Here is a guy the Patriots wanted but they waited too long screwing around with safeties and DEs. It will be open season on the Patriots secondary next season.
Keeping a good young QB out of the division makes sense to me and seems to be the only good reason behind the move. Also, maybe GB will return the favor someday.
Lot of twitter hints at La'el Collins?
@NEPatriotsDraft: Patriots have drafted a lot of safe, high-character guys. Wildcard could be coming late in the day.
@NEPD_Loyko: @NEPatriotsDraft definitely

Not the strangest thing that has happened to the Pats in this Draft.
BB just love those seventh-zies picks, doesn't he?
Zo made a really good point on 98.5 that the AFC east teams were all picking after that pick. His thought that it was preventing the QB from going to three teams that could use one. I think there's some merit to it.So what did we own GB a favor for? Or what favor are they going to do for us??
Would he keep his word and stay out this year and go in the 2016 draft?? Yeah, not likely........I'd take a flyer in round 7, maybe even round 6...Lot of twitter hints at La'el Collins?

Yeah, I know. BB has an utterly ridiculous record on drafting great players on the 6th and 7th round, so the more, the merrier. But value-wise, the trade didn't make much sense.They're like calling dibs on the UDFAs, so why not? We've done well in the 7th too, with Dennard, Deaderick, Edelman, Cassel, Banta-Cain, Givens, and Patrick Pass all contributing way more than the average pick from that round. We've also got a lot out of the UDFAs, so why not get first choice of the ones we want?
in all honesty, it feels like BB hits more often on his 7th rounders than he does on his 2nd rounders...Not the strangest thing that has happened to the Pats in this Draft.
