hooman seems like the odd man out.
Except that, if Belichick wants to make extensive use of wild and crazy 2 TE sets with Gronk and Chandler, then he HAS to have a back up that can step into one of those all-purpose roles. Otherwise, one injury and he's got to scrap a big chunk of the playbook. So, Hooman may end up with an important backup role.
I believe that Belichick would REALLY like to feature the 2 TE set. It creates real problems in a hurry up offense because of the ease of switching between run blocking and pass catching depending on which personnel you catch the defense in.
