Reggie Bush in the building

Yeah should have been done by now you would think. Probably was done 3 hours ago knowing the Pats.

Except it was reported Jabaal Sheard was visiting the Pats Tuesday night and it wasn't announced he signed until like 7-8pm Wednesday.

Also it says he was visiting today no idea of when the visit started or if it is still going on and then there is Bush agreeing he wants to come to NE and then hammering out a contract that works for both sides.

Look at Harvin was in Buffalo yesterday and NE was reportedly his next visit and he agreed a day later to sign with them.

Can you say doghouse? Bill Belichick is not going to like his fumble stats as a rusher (5 in 2013!)

You gotta love his receing stats, however. 40 catches on 56 targets in 11 games in 2014. If he could stay healthy, he's a 50-60 reception back.

3rd down: Edelman, Gronkowski, Chandler, Lafell with Reggie Bush in the backfield next to Tom Brady looks like trouble.

Agreed. Everyone keeps talking about how worn down he is, but I don't see it. He's somewhat fragile, but he's always been that way. He looks like a guy who can be very productive with a Flying Elvis on his helmet to me.

Seriously. Last 3 years prior to 2014 he was a 1000 yard rusher and a 300 yard receiver and 2 of those seasons was with Miami who didn't have the greatest passing offense.

Take those numbers and with a healthy season I could maybe less rushing yards but more than 300 receiving yards

Hoping we can get him signed, I think he will add an explosive weapon on offense.

Id like some info from someone about if he's actually in Foxboro still.

Only other guy to visit NE this week was Jabaal Sheard and Schefter said he was visiting Tuesday night and we didn't hear anything about him until it was announced the Pats signed him.

So doubtful we'll get an update on if he is still there.

But unless there is some mystery team out of the blue it's between the 49ers and Pats and the fact that the 49ers let him leave without a contract favors the Pats unless the Pats offer something less than the 49ers did.

They really need to get this done...A great receiving back is crucial against the elite defenses.

If we can't sign decent corners, might as well max out on offense and hope for the best. Signing Bush and Crabtree would be huge.

I agree that Bush would be a fine signing, and would definitely help out with matchups + even add more as a pure RB than Vereen did.

Hoping the money is right. This would be nice to have and fill a need.

I'm not a big fan of Reggie Bush but I do think he'd fit in nicely as the 3rd down back. If we get him I just hope he can stay healthy.

IDK about that.

IIRC the pats were about 12.5M under the cap according to Miguel.

With the signing of Chandler (and assumed release of Hooman) the Pats will probably be about 12M-11.5M under the cap give or take.

They can address guard, sign Bush and probably don't need to add another WR.

Even doing those things they would still have a good amount of money to spend to improve their D with several moves they can make to save money.

With Revis, Browner, Wilfork and Vereen gone and Amendola restructured how are the Pats doing against the cap?

How many bullets do we have? Even run DMC only took six mil. Right?

And Sheard plus Chandler and Gibson were not that pricey?

Said it in a post above but maybe you missed it.

Pats are about 12.4 under before signing Chandler/cutting Hooman per miguel's numbers.

That will not be a costly move when said and done.

Bush if they sign him will be cheap.

Starks is the best DT left on the market and looking at no more than 5M/year which is what the market is set it right now.

The Pats have a lot of money they can make with moves to Mayo/Solder still.

Only 12? Wow!!

Can we please make this happen already! Bush would be a great addition to this offense. He still has gas left in the tank (only turned 30 like a week ago) and would be a pretty large step up from Vereen.

Bush might be better than Bennie Vareene. Hope he signs. Man I used to call him Reggie Bust and say Maroney was better

Edelman & S. Johnson outside, Gronk & Chandler in 2 TE set. Bush in backfield.

Edelman, Johnson, and Bush are all capable of moving into the slot at any time, Gronk and Chandler can both split out wide at any time... You could run Bush one play, then split everybody out into a 5-wide the next play. That would be a really great mix of big guys, shifty guys, and speed.

Bill, for cryin' outs pay the man...and don't think for a minute it's funny to withhold newly signed contracts from the general population.
