It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Worst part is, Revis screwed us out of getting a replacement at CB or DLine, by waiting so long. I cannot blame a man for taking the bigger paycheck, but call it what it is.
On a related note, I'm a bit nervous about Chung. The reason he thrived this season was because he played exclusively in man-to-man against TEs and short/shallow zones in the flat and over the middle (as well as in the box as a run defender). He never had a responsibility with a deep zone. What does his role become if we begin to play more zone coverage, particularly cover-2? Is it possible that we'll look to replace him with a more well-rounded SS? All questions to be answered. Will he revert back to 'meh' form?
Where do you draw the line? That's a good question, and I'd imagine that every coach and GM would be at least a little flexible about it, which makes it even more difficult to answer. Since I wasn't talking about Revis' money, but about the behavior pattern of the ostriches, though, I'll leave it for another time.
What happened to "I will wait to see what happens?"This team took a step back tonight no matter what the kool aid drinkers tell u. These afc teams got better defensively and some offensively. I will wait to see what happens but once again the secondary is a weaknesss. Bill has been trying to fix it for years before talib and mevis.
What is scary about all this is now the pats defense is behind the Jets, bills and dolphins.
Pats just let Browner and Revis walk so what's the back up plan? There are no good corners out there to sign. Is BB just going to draft a bunch of rookies so we can go back to the days of 2010 or 2011 where every scrub Qb throws for 500 yards? Or maybe we are relying on Brady, who will be 38 next season, to bail this team out every game?
Well this is disappointing, but I have to say, since we won the SB, I don't have this burning anger and upset about this whole thing like I would have in the past. I guess I am just getting complacent. Of course, this morning I am getting worried about our back field. Not looking forward to the returning to the days of 3rd & long - long completion. Sigh. I hope BB has a back-up plan.
They already have proof. Woody was caught red handed with his hand in the cookie jar. I'd be happy with a 3rd round swap and a 6th round pick. The rule clearly states SEVERE punishment. Tired of Goodell letting the Jets off the hook again and again and again. I didn't buy into this whole thing Joker was spewing years ago but it's really come to light. He was right all along.
So true. Pat P in AZ is so over rated it hurts.
Just have no idea how we get a secondary that is believable by season start. Oh well, we won the big one, guess it's time to move on. Wonder what Brady thinks of this?
Agreed. Even if he didn't have one at 4:00 p.m. yesterday, he's formulating one as we type. The fact that they let Browner go a few days earlier tells me they've known for a few days at least that they weren't getting Revis back.I'm sure Belichick has a plan.
Zero.
Arrington, ryan, Denard, Mccourty, Chung.
That's your secondary core. That core has been burned a hundred times.
Because Goodell......
