I will miss that guy, no way he comes back, someone will overpay for him, not only physical, he seems like a smart, intelligent guy, what he did in the last play of the SB (Seattle's last play) was impressive.

Boy was I wrong about this one. That's three in the last hour or so. I'm on a roll!!!!!!

Man, it's a damn good thing we were able to retain McCourty.

haven't lost revis YET.

They released Browner at $4.8m to get under the cap but they kept frickin Amendola at $6m and Arrington at $4.5m. Someone explain what's going on.

hey......look at it this way.......the pats have 24.8M more to spend.....

If the net-net-net of this is that we lose Browner and Revis, and wind up paying McCourty $9.5M, I think this will be a very bad week for the home team.

I figured the only reason why they'd play hardball with Browner was if they knew they had a deal with Revis, and needed to free up some cap space. Keeping my fingers crossed.

cap savings......we've gone from having the least cap space to having the most

Confirmed, Pats picked up Browner's option.

Browner would not take pay cut so Pats have picked up the $4.8m option. It was just a negotiation tactic to see if they could squeeze anymore cash for other moves. Not a problem picking it up though as they see Browner as worth it.

If Browner was so valuable at his current compensation level, then why weren't the Patriots they able to get a single draft pick for him from 31 other teams when he was under contract for 2 more years?
The other 31 teams are stupid for not wanting an enforcer to make their secondary scary IMO. Receivers get scared when that man comes near them so i'll gladly have him back.
