I'd pay money to ensure that Harvin goes elsewhere.

I am inclined to agree with you, but I would take him on an one year prove it deal so the Pats could jettison him easy if he was a problem like they did with Haynesworth.

Why is just about everyone have us getting NO ONE AT ALL??!!.. Every time i see someone say we are getting So n So i see ten replies with no, we have no money @ all! . I know there's a cap and all but hell man this is the FREAKN PATS!!

Cap is crap? Felger is that you?

Do not want that lunatic. The Jets cut his ass, do you really need to know any more? Hell, the Hawks let him go cheap in the midst of what proved to be another journey to the super bowl. No thanks, even if he pays us.

Why is everyone in denial about the pats interest in Harvin? Belichick wanted harvin in the draft AND almost traded for him two years ago. Harvin knows belichick loves him. The kid is only 26 and has probably 6-7 good seasons left in him. Almost every "malcontent" that comes here does well - moss, dillon, blount. I trust belichick's judgment over anyone on this board.

Who is going to pay Harvin big money?

Uh...Danny Woodhead?

Harvin opens this offense up in many ways he can threaten deep, he's tough to tackle he can take the short pass the distance, he can run the ball as well which allows Brady to change the play in many different ways.
I'm all for it rather have him than Hartline.

If BB could ever get Harvin to play to his ability, him and Edelman on the field together would make DBs heads spin.

Harvin could be a great fit here and make our offense a force to be reckoned with. If the Pats think it is the right move to get him, I'm all for it.

Prefer retaining Revis and DMac but an offense with Gronk, Edelman, and Harvin wow

In fairness, the Jets cut Harvin because he had a $10 million base salary and he refused to cut it along with the fact if he was still on the roster at the start of the NFL year, they would have had to give up a 4th rather than a 6th to Seattle.

I definitely agree with this. If Belichick thinks he'll do good here and brings him in, who am I to question his judgement? And for the skill set he brings, it could help turn our offense into a juggernaut, not that it wasn't already very good. Though my main concern is Revis, I like the idea of Harvin in a Pats uniform. If any team can get him to play at an elite level, it is the Patriots.

I don't see anyone giving him big money but one year 6 million is a price I could see a team like KC or the colts paying, the bad part is its not has play on the field that will get him a contract but the fact that so many fans around the NFL over rate him cause his fast. the jaguars Oakland may look at him just to put more fans in the stands

Please send me $1,000.00 via wire transfer and I will make this happen.

I just gave the cash to a hobo with instructions to bring it to your address. I see no reason why you wouldn't have it in a day or two.

He will get a headache and then I will get a headache because he has a headache and then before you know it a full epidemic will be on our hands.

If Bill signs Harvin he's my man and I'll support him. If he signs elsewhere, he's a clown. That's my take on all this.

Lol, the Danny Woodhead cut to keep that puking pile of crap drafted early?

Sure, Danny Woodhead is an excellent comparison to high priced malcontent Percy Harvin. The Vikings sent him packing in the midst of a contract tantrum, the Hawks gave up a first and a few other picks, signed him to big money, and then sent him packing mid way through the next season for low compensation. The Jets are now cutting him in favor of fellow a fellow malcontent, at the cost of another draft pick.

But yeah, Danny Woodhead is a great comparison.

To be fair, if Harvin came on a dirt cheap, zero guarantee deal, why not, you can cut his ass at the first sign of being the prima dona he seems. However the Jags, colts, raiders, maybe even Phins would probably pay more than we would or could.

The Jets are saving $2.5 million, and they are getting to keep their 4th round pick in return for giving up their 5th and 5th round picks.

Taking out the players themselves and just looking at the rest: value wise, they are way ahead with this deal.

I can't give the Jets too much props on this deal. It was dumb for them to trade for him in the first place when everyone knew they weren't going anywhere last year and that his salary would be a problem the following year. If they had not traded for him at all, they would have even more money to work with in free agency this year.

They made a pretty good move getting Marshall for only a 5th round pick but they will offset this pretty quickly once free agency officially starts. Tod Bowles can only make so many logical decisions before the Jets organization sinks its teeth into his body and soul.
