Tecnicaly that is correct but I am talking about the grand scheme of value and performance. We still need a WR there.
Per Miguels ideas:
Lower Danny Amendola’s salary from $4 million to $1.9 million – net cap savings of $2,100,000 which is $510,000 more than what would be achieved by releasing him. Amendola’s 2015 cap number would then be $3.6 million. Releasing Amendola before June 2nd would cause a dead money hit of $3.6 million. I would give Amendola the chance to earn back the money by reaching NLTBE incentives. - See more at: http://www.patsfans.com/salary-cap/?p=1508#sthash.9yUC9Pco.dpuf
If they cut him and feel they have good enough players to replace him... great. I dont see it but maybe its there. Or if they can get a better value. But I assume they can get him to restructure, and if they cant, the whole exercise is moot because he wont be here at current salary.
That is not bashing at all. I dont see anyone here indicating he is a good value at current salary, unless God came down and guaranteed he was going to play like he did in the Jets game, Ravens games all year.
Irrelevant however because that is not what the poster said. Saying DA was good in 2 games is kinda blindly bashing a player for the sake of saying he is too expensive or not liking him? I dont know...they are separate issues anyway (value and whether or not we "like" DA).
The # of games DA was "good" in was previously covered in several emails.
Saying he is overpaid is not bashing. Its the general consensus here.
