Re: Official 2007 Patriots Draft Thread

Nothing suprising with the first three picks here. Wanna see what the Bucs do though.

* If Quinn slides too far his GF is going to walk out on him.

Meh, she's not hot anyways. He can do better.

LOL. Quinn will suck in Miami. Though Aqua boy will be here claiming that Quinn is "a legit reason as to why the Fins will win the east".

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

the 1 thing im impressed with Quinn is he knows how to talk to media..he looks calm and a seasoned veteran when media is approaching him

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

wasnt gonna be Adams..he woulda been an OLB and they took Wimbley lastyear who played great

Adams has the frame to grow into a 3-4 end. And Romeo knows the value of a guy that is supposedly too tall and thin for tackle.

"Brady Quinn learned from Wies! Charlie told Quinn just how to beat a defense like the Patsies! You guys are soon gonna be looking up at the awesomeness that is the Doofins!!!!  !!!????

no no no no no

look at 3-4 Ends..they are all around 300..hes 258-260. Hes a 3-4 OLB.

Hes already a 4-3 DE .. 3-4 OLB easily

Quinn could land in Miami's lap at #9 without them making any moves.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

RUMOR ALERT: Trent Green has basically packed up his stuff in K.C. and is heading to Miami, per an industry source.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

Adams it is

Hes gonna learn from Rice and be a very good pass rusher throughout his career

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

Good pick Bucs.
Adams will inject some youth into that old unit.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

I don't like all the guessing before the pick when the player is on the phone....it kills the drama.

He's 260 now. He could easily get up to 280-290, and work as a hybrid 3-4/4-3 end, and even drop occasionally as an OLB, just like Seymour. Not as stout as Seymour against the run (not even close, actually), but probably a better pass rusher from the position. And it's not like having Wimbley would preclude getting another big-time edge rusher if he couldn't make the transition to 3-4 end. Cleveland needs all the help it can get.

That said, I like the Thomas pick a lot.

yeah but hes better suited for 3-4 OLB than 3-4 DE because
1) you would need to get him to add on a lot of weight
2) He would need to develope as a run stopper..hes a great pass rusher..u take away his skillset by putting him at De..but hey..why are we discussing this? Hes a Buc.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

I would love to demolish Quinn twice a year. :rocker:

If they want brown, they can trade down a few slots and still likely get him depending on who wants to move up...(miami or minn for quinn?)
