Give me his 2010 season. IMO, I think that is the greatest regular season performance by a QB ever in the NFL. Honestly, I dont think its even t close to any other. I dont remember all the particulars, but some of the things Brady accomplished that year, and against the level of teams/defenses he faced is truly mind blowing. We all know the stats from that year and the records he set. But a few other factors:
Faced 7 playoff teams
He faced something like 7 out of the top 10 defenses
He faced 7 out of the top 6 passing defenses (faced # 6 overall twice)
Lost his #1 WR (moss) after week 3.
Best o lineman (mankins) sat out half the season in contract dispute.
Two rookie TE's (Gronk and Ahern)
Undrafted starting RB (lawfirm)
No strong #2 WR (Welker being a slot)
Welker coming of major off season knee surgury and was not up to 100%
And his accomplishments that year:
- Named an AFC Pro Bowl starter and was the top vote getter in fan voting
- Became the first player ever to be unanimously selected as the Associated Press Most Valuable Player
- Named Associated Press All-Pro (unanimous selection)and Associated Press Offensive Player of the Year.
- Was first in the NFL with a 7.3 touchdown percentage, a 9.0 touchdown-to-interception ratio and a career-low and franchise-best 0.81 interception rate, which was also the third best in NFL history and best in NFL history among quarterbacks who had at least 250 pass attempts.
- Finished the regular season with 11 consecutive starts without an interception - the most by a quarterback since the 1970 merger. Also set an NFL record for most consecutive pass attempts without an interception, which currently sits at 335 pass attempts
- Threw a touchdown pass in all 16 games of the regular season for the first time in his career, joining five other quarterbacks since the NFL went to a 16-game season in 1978 to have at least one touchdown pass in each game
- Had two or more touchdowns in 12 games,
- Started all 16 games finishing the season with 3,900 passing yards, an NFL-leading 36 touchdowns and only four interceptions.
