Hi all,
I was lucky enough to land a job doing scouting reports for nepatriotsdraft.com this year and I wanted to give you all a heads up to check them out. I am attaching a link to the first one and wanted to let you know I will be doing these reports each week. Also, if there are specific players you would like scouted, please let me know. I would like to scout players that patriots fans are really intrigued by and would be interested in reading my take on, so please, throw some names out and if I get the game I will watch them.

Thanks guys, I hope that you will enjoy my take on these players and please go check out my first report of the year. If you have any comments or suggestions on the player or my writing style, let me know..

Thanks for the link and the report.

Who would you compare Davis to? I haven't watched much of him, but he seemed kind of like a Ty Warren or Red Bryant kind of player to me.

I'm personally hoping NOT to go DT early in the 2015 draft. I like our young stable of kids, especially if Quarles develops. Easley, Siliga, Jones and Quarles (still not a Vellano fan) would be a nice young nucleus to develop. I think that run stuffing DTs can be picked up late, and there hopefully won't be room for more than 1 DT addition to the roster.

DE is another question altogether. A Michael Bennett kind of DE who can move inside would be a great addition, especially if they also have the versatility to stand up. Shawn Oakman and Dante Fowler are the two guys on the top of my list right now, with Shilique Calhoun and Bud Dupree also of interest.

I don't believe in drafting for need, but interior OL, DE and LB/S are the three areas of the team of greatest interest to me at the moment.

Firstly, congrats. This was well deserved.

Secondly, and this based upon last years tape, I'm a little in the air on Davis. I see someone who could be dominant as a 1-tech or 3-4 DE. At times his strength overpowers offensive linemen. But, I didn't see him do it enough. I don't think he has the athleticism or burst to be a genuine pass rush threat so in the end, based purely upon last years tape, I gave him a 2nd to 3rd round grade but knowing I would bump him up if he played more consistently.

Again congratulations on the assignment, please let us know when you do anymore.

I second that.
