Actually this news is more disconcerting. It makes it seem like this will always have to be something we will need to worry about with him.
From what I've read it WAS related. The repair and cast results in increased stress points further down the arm. It's simple physics.
I guess the nature of the reports is to affirm that Gronk wasn't brought back "too early" per se - just the dumb luck of landing on his arm the way he did caused a new break.
None of that really matters to the team - they'll have to do a better job overcoming his loss than they did last year. And this year their added depth gives them a much better chance of doing that.
